I have to say that the first half was probably the best defensive half I've seen RU put together in a long time - possibly ever. The way they were glued to the guards while interfering with Garza's entry lanes was a joy to watch.
Second half had some great stretches too. Not as strong across the board. Hard to defend Garza late - not sure we could have done much about it.
Unfortunately, we left a few points on the board with layups in the first half and at the line throughout the game, and Iowa realized that forcing it to Garza was their best bet.
