Pleass stop dragging Murphy into this... but since we're at, just like Robbinsville would've beat Eastern Randolph as bad as Murphy did?
Football is a game of matchups and teams matchup differently, teams also dont always play their A game, Murphy played their best ball of the season that night against Eastern Randolph. So no, Robbinsville wouldn't have beat them as bad as Murphy did like you said in the other thread. Bottomline Robbinsville was a bad matchup for Murphy this year and Mitchell wouldve been too in my opinion. BUT I think Murphy would've done more offensively tonight against Mitchell than Robbinsville did, especially if the "good" Rumfelt showed up, which you never could guess when that was going to happen this season. When he was locked in Murphy wasn't as one dimensional offensively as Robbinsville can be a lot of the time. Murphy would've gotten worked over the same defensively I'd say, that part I agree with.

No bottomline is you brought Murphy into this when they shouldn't have been. Murphy and Robbinsville's season both ended short of the state title game. Nobody gives a rat's *** about those 2 wins this fall if you cant close the deal, like Murphy did in the spring hoss.
For the rest of the Robbinsville faithful, congrats on a great season. For you in particular just tired of the little quips, got old a while ago.

Yeah you're right we really haven't had a game go down to the wire like that in a long time. Maybe SouthWest edgecombe 2019 but then again we pulled away in the 4th quarter. I tell you one thing though man after looking at the stats that quarterback from Mitchell is the real deal. He is extremely deadly with his legs and throwing the ball. But the good thing is tarboro has faced quarterbacks like him this year that can run and throw very well.

When baby boy was playing never missed one. Since then has to be fairly warm and not overly crowded for wife and me to agree to venture those seven miles...
We both enjoy watching the games but usually ends up with me and some guys doing a bunch of talking, and shooting the above mentioned chit, while she is just sitting there. Closest thing I got now is hanging around here digitally meeting some very nice people (for the most part anyway). Maybe in the next three years I can get up with some of you guys. She is getting tired of me being around so much since just two of us mostly anyway...

The reason ER and MA are still ranked 1 and 2 is because on paper they are the best teams. But the paper ran into matchups that just didn't work out and that's okay. That's how it goes. The better team's on those nights won. You can't sit here and say well they were this or that or if we played or they played. Nobody knows throw that paper out the window.
At the end of the season only one teams fans aren't pissed off and even if Robbinsville won it all there would still be a few on here mad at somebody. That's ok. Makes it fun.
