This article is insightful. It gives a look at the (rare) UK seasons where there have been 13 or 14 or more losses. To quote, “…this program has hit 14 or more losses in a season only four times. It has hit 13 losses just seven times.”
We still have an opportunity to go on a run in both tournaments, and I’m rooting for UK to do so. But the likelihood of 14 losses is a reality. My hope would be that the postseason would be a good one with a turnaround, a la 2014.

Problem is Cal was done and he was done here for about 5-6 years bigger problem is we didn't need to replace him with Pope. Cal didn't give 2 ***** about UK the whole time he was here but when he was winning it was excusable but when he wasn't then it wasn't OK anymore.

Ummm no he went to the sweet 16 last year and that’s his best since 2017Calipari hasn’t been to the elite 8 in almost 10 years. The guy sucks. And last year he was gifted an easy road and still couldn’t make it long.
Cal is trash. This team isn’t going anywhere. You can’t coach at UK if you’re as ****** as calipari it’s why he’s at Arkansas. He cares nothing about winning anymore which is why he doesn’t. Ohio state even said no to Calipari. It took a program like Arkansas to finally say yes.

@sk73 Bolster Pope? I’ve wanted Pope fired all year. He’s terrible, nothing there signals anything about bolstering pope. I’ve called to remove him since the beginning of the year pretty much. Saw the writing on the wall early.
I think giving him a 3rd year is incredibly stupid considering NIL and his trajectory. This is a blue blood you don’t keep that kind coach you remove him. We don’t need Calipari either, but if you’re going to replace him with mark pope then just keep the legacy intact and let it play out. Calipari is washed he’s got no shot at championships. He cuts himself too thin. But again, you don’t replace him with Pope. Only with sure thing. Barnhart is incredibly awful. What made you think that post bolsters pope?

And his loosing was too much for a blue blood, but you don’t replace him with Pope. Mitch thought he had Drew locked up he probably told him he’s next a long time ago and didn’t realize he became ingrained at Baylor. Pearl was who the boosters wanted and Mitch got it killed.
