IMO, this is all about UT wanting more money for both the short and long term, (Like when the NCAA dies) and not much more than that.
I would certainly like to see data on how much we would lose to give them, and OU or whomever, their part of the SEC payout, and how much more the ESPN contract would be. If we k=make more money, then it's a big yes. If we don't make more money, it's a Hell No! Hopefully, the SEC powers have worked all of the money stuff out. I don't see UT as anything more than one vote in any SEC decision. They ain't no Alabama (The power team in the SEC) and ought to realize that.
Just look at all of the power Arkansas picked up when they joined. What power? Not much.
