How much of our improvement next year do you think depends on the development of Omoyuri, Thiam, Dorson, Diallo, Sa? If these guys can up their games and help us get a few more games then I think the recruiting game gets rolling big.

Can't really comment on next year's team until we see how the roster turns out (transfers and possible new recruits), which may not be for a few months.

A big amount depends on Doorson and Thiam. With kids that can shoot the ball, Sanders will find them for shots.

Everyone else must take another step, but Doorson and Thiam the biggest.

Thiam has been solid on ball since I watched his recruit tape from hs. If he can become an offensive presence, watch out.

If doorson can improve to a 4 and 6 kid(asking a ton), RU could be a bubble team. I am bullish.

A lot of ifs for next season but the biggest ones I feel are....

- Can the team collectively improve Free Throw shooting? +10-15% ?
- Can Corey Sanders develop a strong drive to his left and a consistent 3pt shooter? If yes, I think he is easily second or first team All Big Ten
- Can the team collectively rebound just as well next year? You would think yes but that was huge for us to stay in games this year so that must remain in tact
- Can Doorson give us what Gettys was giving us? Rebounds, toughness, big body and lots of minutes
- Can Thiam and/or Sa develop into a shooting threat

I think Sa's calling now has to be hitting the boards.

Returning all 4 top scorers from this year in Sanders, Freeman, Johnson, and Williams. That's a pretty good start. Thiam's anticipated improvement as a shooter is a game changer, because of his defense and length. Otherwise may be forced into a 3 guard lineup which hurts defense and rebounding.

I'm more optimistic than most about Doorson. I think he'll be better all around than Getty's by then end of next season, if he stays healthy.

If Doorson is having another foot surgery, as mentioned on here before, then his development will be hampered.

He needs as much on court time and training room work as possible.

I think that Thiam has lost a little confidence on hitting his three. I have seen him bypass an open three several times of late. He needs to get a little stronger and get his confidence back. If so I think he can really be an important part of the puzzle for us. We need a center who can give us what Gettys did this season plus a small forward who can hit the jumper and drive to the basket. Can Thiam or Omoruyi be that guy? These are things that need to be solved to have more success next season.

If 4 and 6 from a 7 footer who is built like a brick sh!thouse is "asking a ton," then he shouldn't be on our team.

Dorsan will be having surgery on his foot after the season ends.Next season improvement is largely dependent on players transferring out and shooters coming in.The team must score closer to 70 points than currently around 62 points.
