Saw an interview, the discussion was the MAGA get so deep, they jump from "this is my belief" to "this is my identity", so when others say "this is bad" they hear "you are bad". They've given themselves no graceful way to "change themselves" since it's now internal. Makes sense on why they can't let him go.
