it has been that long. Thank God that piece of crap is behind bars where he belongs.

On another note, June 14 was the 20th anniversary of Kramer and Newman getting spat on by Roger McDowell from behind the grassy knoll.

It's difficult to even remember when OJ was a sports icon and celebrity. But I'll always sitting in front of the tv for what seemed like hours watching the white bronco drive slowly around LA and the commentators trying desperately to find something new and interesting to say.

The murders happened the weekend before I left to go to Europe for two months. I was enrolled in USM's Austrian & British Studies classes and flew to Vienna on I think Tuesday-- arriving the following day. The Austrian Studies people took the hydrofoil down the Danube to Budapest that Friday. It was crazy-- the international editions of Time and Newsweek had OJ on the front cover. Even the International Herald Tribune had loads of info too. Weird. Wild.</p>

A buddy and I were in a strip club called Les Girls. No one was paying attention to the dancers, all eyes were glued on the TV's (which normally carried sports). Even the girls were gyrating in one place on the stage so they wouldn't miss anything and the music was turned down so the TV audio could be heard. Several of them didn't even bother walking around to get tips. Everyone was speculating on whether and how long it would take for the Bronco to make it to SD. Nothing shuts down SoCal except a car chase, and that one set the standard...

When it all first started on June 12, I thought I heard that OJ was murdered...that was a bummer because he was such a nice guy and a football hero and everything. I remember watching the white bronco from some TV over there, between losing money on one-armed bandits and watching Swandawg69 piss away $25 playing quarter poker.
