I can see that but I think being undefeated and winning your conference should count for something.Combination of things but w lack of RPI, number of matches for the other guys, perspective of competition level of the Big 10 and also maybe to prevent Blaze/Davino #3 in the semis, I think it’s
Davino
Jax
Blaze
Byrd
Seidel
Larkin
The #1 is ideal bc of the Byrd matchup being nice in the semis. If Jax wrestled the entire year I think he’s clearly the 1.
I can see that but I think being undefeated and winning your conference should count for something.
With a +90% bonus rate…I can see that but I think being undefeated and winning your conference should count for something.
Didn't Byrd get 5th?Jax Forrest 13-0 Big 12 Champion
Ben Davino 25-1 Big 10 Champion (lost to Blaze)
Marcus Blaze 21-1 Big 10 2nd (lost to Davino)
Lucas Byrd 19-1 Big 10 3rd (lost to unranked Purdue)
Your right, I thought he beat Ayala. Ayala finished 3rd.Didn't Byrd get 5th?
I don’t think Jax cares where he is and the other guys want to be on the opposite of the bracketRPI isn’t as weighted as it’s talked about…10% if the flo article is accurate.
The good:
-quality wins
-coaches ranking (which will also be in the bad)
-conference ranking
-win %
The bad:
-Jax has no head-to-head with Blaze or Davino
-It appears bonus rate/dominance is not a factor
-Coaches Ranking (there is an ability here to rank Jax poorly to impact the formula and it’s been proven that it does happen)
-Money. A Blaze/Davino semi is not profitable. One caveat, I don’t know how big of a factor this actually is.
What is best for Jax is Seidel staying away from the 4 or 5 giving Jax a semi with Byrd. Which I don’t see how it’s avoided unless Jax is the 2 or 3, with Seidel being a 4/5.
Which season eligible match he didnt bonus? I think he is 100% bonus. With a +90% bonus rate…
Seidel and the guy that’s not eligible to compete in NCAAs.Which season eligible match he didnt bonus? I think he is 100% bonus.
IMO, Seidel is a Title threat and a guy nobody wants to see in Cleveland.Forgot about Seidel. lol. Yes. But I'm not expecting Jax to have another close one with Seidel.
He was dominant in ACC finals with tech fall over Knox from Stanford.IMO, Seidel is a Title threat and a guy nobody wants to see in Cleveland.
Seidel ? Only loss JaxDavino 1
Jax 2
Blaze 3
Byrd 4
I was just basing off of the top 4 listed above....Seidel ? Only loss Jax
Larkin? Only loss to Jax and a MFF to frost .
Not having those RPI points makes it 10-0 with only 90 points remaining. And no head to head so now down 10-0 with 65 remaining . Conference placement is a wash so down 10 with 50 remaining.Hard to beat Davino who's wrestled all year and has many quality wins. Davino win over blaze will put him ahead of Jax in the coaches rankings I would think. That would be down 20-0 with 40 remaining. Jax has winning %. 20-10 with 30 remaining. They've the same common Drake Davino beat him twice. So 20 remaining for quality wins and Jax has 7 and Davino 9Jax is undefeated with two wins from that group. I would not be surprised to see.
1. Jax
2. Davino
3. Seidel
4. Blaze
5. Larkin
6. Byrd. Byrd may have a minor injury that caused him to lose that head scratcher.
I think we give PSU and the Big 10 too much credit.
Yeah the only thing I'm sure of for 133 is that Davino will get the 1 seed. Jax is my pick to win it all, but wrestling a full season compared to a half season has to count for something. Not having those RPI points makes it 10-0 with only 90 points remaining. And no head to head so now down 10-0 with 65 remaining. Hard to beat Davino who's wrestled all year and has many quality wins
