Not only is 13 / 20 and 3 / 4 simplified to their lowest term equivalents. This is the gauntlet that Rutgers hoops faces over the next 2.5 weeks !
#13 Illinois Dec 20
#20 OSU Dec 23
UR Purdue Dec 29
#3 Iowa Jan 2
#4 MSU Jan 5

Illini, Purdue, & Iowa would have been in front of a raucous RAC.
Does anyone know what the highest ranked team we've ever knocked off at the RAC? I was at the game where we knocked off #4 ? Ranked Wisconsin Jan 2015.

I believe #4 Wisconsin in 2015 is our highest-ranked victory. #9 Maryland last season and #10 Florida in 2011 also come to mind.

Feb 2011 we knocked off #9/10 Villanova in front of a rocking RAC also. That was a great night. I brought my buddy who was a Nova grad. I still can't believe we came from behind and won that game on Jonathan Mitchell's back. That 4 point play was huge@

Feb 2010 we knocked off #7/8 Georgetown Hoyas. This was a great game too. I brought my son to this game and a buddy of mine texted me after seeing me on TV!

From all our days in the A10 & Big East, I don't ever remember having a legit shot at beating a #1, 2, or 3 though.

I'm pretty sure that's the one...under Eddie Jordan. Wisc was without their star Frank Kaminsky iirc but must have still been double digit favorites coming in.

The important thing to remember is we have enough talent and experience on this year's team that a person could predict 5-0 or this team is capable of 5-0 in that stretch and it doesn't sound like a RutgersAl prediction anymore. We are that good.

What was Syracuse ranked in 2003 when we beat them with Carmello and then they won the national championship?

In 1982 we took down #6 West Virginia in front of the largest crowd in RAC history. 9,000.
That's awesome. That's a year before I started watching Rutgers Men's Hoops. 1983 was my very first game at the RAC.

I was a senior in high school when I attended this game. In terms of facing highly-ranked teams, this certainly ranks among RU's finest at the RAC. The build-up for the game was sky high. WVU entered the matchup with the nation's longest winning streak (23 games). The student section was jam-packed a half-hour before tip-off.

As for the game itself, it wasn't the most exciting. Not much drama. RU pretty much led start to finish. It didn't prevent the crowd from cheering at a fever pitch, though. The RAC was LOUD until the final buzzer.

If you're wondering what game has drawn the most fans into the RAC since its opening in 1977, you can read about it in the link below. Years ago, I spoke with Charlie Theokas, the former Nets GM. He said, paraphrasing, "We (the Nets) oversold the game. Everyone wanted to be there to see John Havlicek one last time before he retired. The announced attendance was the official capacity (9,050), but the actual attendance was well over 10,000. It was a total gaffe on our part. Let's just say we were glad the fire marshal didn't attend that game."

If we win the first 3 games does that get us to top 10 against #3 Iowa? Or am I summoning my inner RutgersAl

Iowa game happens on Saturday, Jan 2 and the Purdue game is Tuesday, December 29th. That poll happens the 28th, with 2 possible wins vs 13 Illinois and @ 20 tOSU, we are probably in the top 10, especially if convincing wins like vs Syracuse and @ Maryland.

What was UNLV ranked in 1992 when we knocked them off. They were on probation, IIRC, which eliminated them in one poll but they still ranked highly in the other.
