How about these Cougars. Theyve run Oregon out of the gym. Great play by guy to save ball as hes headed towards out of bounds by sending a backwards bounce pass toa teammate for an easy dunk. Pretty play.
I was wondering how Howard would do with a bunch of young guys, well, this is a pretty good example and expected honestly. I know Michigan fans were loving that great recruiting class, but having a young talented team is not all it's cracked up to be.

Hope so, he would be a great replacement candidate down the line. If he can build up a resume in the next 8-10 years.
BYU is moving to the Big12, which will be a pretty good basketball conference. On top of that, he is LDS and his wife is a BYU grad. For a guy like Pope, the situation and connection to BYU might be a long term gig.
Yeah, I’m starting to really think so as well. The fan base would most definitely accept him. Seems to be a great basketball mind. Hopefully, UK goes with the best replacement and doesn’t worry about the “optics”. If that’s the case, Pope might get a hard look.
If we wait that long some other blue blood will snap him up and that’s no lie. The man can flat out coach.
Well with the spanking that unranked BYU put on #12 Oregon we will definitely move up in the rankings if we take care of business Friday night. Mark Pope is getting it done how about him taking over one day when Cal hangs it up?
We will get a good feel for what we have this year when we should play the Seton Hall/Ohio State winner in an upcoming tournament.
Pope is impressive imo. Getting talent to BYU in itself is huge challenge. He's coaching em' up too.

Yep, especially not early in the season. You're referring to the Michigan-Seton Hall game here. That was a big win for Seton Hall, and Michigan did let that one slip away.
As for BYU destroying Oregon, that was almost shocking. I heard one of the commentators say that Oregon will still be in the conversation at the end of the season in the NCAA-T. I suppose he may be right but what I saw last night was a team with very little skill and even less fight.
Would love to hire him as an assistant and then move him right on up. Be nice to have an actual transition for once.
