Noise during our most important game in a while. Rewarding the students (future alumni/ticket buyers/donors).
We already have best home court as is. Not sure added noise of 50 people (Increase of .005%) is going to make a difference.

Historically, Football drives donations and ticket revenue.

Seems like a v smart small low risk high reward strategic move for the athletic department.

You have to be trolling if you think that 1/3 of the student section is 50 people…

Your math is also wrong. Have to remember to move the decimal point.

Yeah, noise isn't an issue today. But keep going...lol.

They can just as easily watch the game in the 300s. If they want to sit on their hands that’s where they can sit. Sorry, I will never agree with this. Not ever.
Great way to show a priority recruit that you value them by sticking them up in the rafters.

Dude, you know I appreciate your appreciation for the football program, but stop. Please.

Right, they blocked off the left 1/3 (facing it) for probably 50 kids plus staff, families, etc. If that’s not blocked off you can fit significantly more students than other people.
How many more shot clock violations do you think we would average if that changed?

Just over thinking this one it’s not a big deal and seems to be a pretty harmless and smart investment considering our home court environment as is and the upside of football revenue and donation generation.

Stop what, you started the conversation looking for others perspectives!

btw the percent increases in my above posts were off, should be less than 1% on 50 not .005%.
There would be more than 50 students in those spots.

It’s a weak move.

Stop defending it. It’s ********. That entire section should be filled with CURRENT STUDENTS not one or two kids, maybe three, who MAYA end up playing on the football field for one day.

Again, land a couple of five stars who become difference makers and it’s a great trade off
Especially those recruits being courted by Penn State. Have to think there's a method to the madness, to have the recruits see and feel the RU enthusiasm in a Scarlet victory over the Nits.

Looks like the section is completely shut off. Tons on people standing in 110. Is that right?

Again, I love that they’re there, that’s not a problem. The problem is that they’re taking Seats, and sitting on their hands, when actual students should be standing there. They can put them in the 300s.
Bring priority recruits to a game and stick them in the worst seats, you really need to reflect on the absurdity of the this statement. Even if you are a big football fan it doesn't make you a smart one.

If they’re truly sitting on their hands at every moment of the game and not cheering at big moments that’s really the only issue here and falls on the football program to be getting these guys involved to enhance their experience. I did see them getting involved on some big plays. Are any current players in the area with them?
