UCLA had that unenviable stretch where they played IU, LSU, PSU and Oregon in a 4 game span. Good to see them seize a few winnable games here.

Damn, I woke up early (4 am) and saw the result of the Iowa game, turned on FS1 to watch the last quarter. The camera kept scanning the Iowa fans in the crowd and there was this ridiculously costumed Hawkeye fan and I kept telling myself how cool it would be if the camera went back to him in the waning seconds of the game. Forgot to look.

bad enough to be dressed that way for a home game. But the Hawkeye fans were the visitors last night.

I give Iowa some credit, in that once their QB got injured, and due to a slate of injuries in practice with their backup QBs, they had to insert a LBer in as QB, I thought they had no chance after that. But the LBer made some decent passes, and they made the game competitive.

UCLA physically beat the snot out of them, stuffed the running game, and pummeled the QB.

Also their receivers particularly #17 made tough catches and took the hits .

My rooting interests today:

FLA over Texas (ESPN says 9%)
GT over Miami (ESPN says 23% chance))
VT over Clemson (ESPN says 38% chance)
FSU over ND (ESPN says 6% chance)

Oh God, the way Florida just now self-destructed in the red zone down 0-14 to Texas. F me, beyond pitiful, Florida fans jumping out of windows.

First time I have watched most of a Canes game. Their D is dirty as F with high hits, late hits, etc. Go GT!

Franklin Franklin’s agent taking notice?
Finely crafted, Bob.

Here’s a lesson in American Sign Language. (I’m bored and Bob has teed it up perfectly.)

My immediate response was a Bravo and some fake clapping while rolling one’s eyes, you’ve seen the gifs. In American Sign Language the pinky finger plays a certain role that other fingers don’t. You got words like line, thin, and spaghetti that use the pinky exclusively, you get the idea. Once I finish typing this paragraph I’m going to “clap” by making two fists and then sticking out my pinkies, clapping the pinkies. That's very Deaf Culture. Whether or not to simultaneously roll your eyes is entirely up to you.

DeShaun Foster was promoted to HC when Chip Kelly bailed after the usual hiring cycle. Looks like a good decision as he seems to be building a good foundation.

Canes score to cut lead 21-16. Big hit leads to targeting ejection for Canes DL.
