1.) I'm trying not to take too much away from this loss as I'm fully convinced our best 5 is Ulis, Murray, Briscoe, Willis, and Lee. And we're gonna have to lean on that 5.

2.) Consequently I think we won't rely on that 5, as Cal feels like he owes it to Alex to put him in there....

3.)...but Cal will not be able to play Alex as much because he will inevitably get into foul trouble and/or be painfully ineffective.

4.) now if Lee gets into foul trouble we will be in trouble. But at this point I trust Humphries more than Alex.

5.) I would be perfectlily fine with Cal just playing Skal 4 mins in the 1st half to see if he brings it and if he didn't, sit him the rest of the game. Nice kid. But there is no off/on switch with him. There are serviceable days and bad days. That's it.

6.) Tyler isn't the best pg Cal has had at UK. I like Tyler. You like Tyler. Everybody likes Tyler. But his shortcomings (no pun intended) are evident. His size is a detractor on both ends. But he competes and he leads. And you have to love that. But in a big game I wouldn't take him over John, BK, Marquis, or Andrew. That's my personal preference though. I just trust those guys.

7.) Jamal Murray is a great offensive talent and has the same no fear attitude Knight had. If that guy is on our side we have a chance.

8.) Some of Tyler's struggles are also due to his mins. And that's Cal's fault. He's mismanaging mins. It's easy to say, "Who else can he play?". But he's the head coach. He needs to be creative and find ways to steal the kid some rest, because at some point it becomes a matter of diminishing returns. The same for Murray too.

9.) I really wish Tai played this year. I think he has a lot to offer this particular team. I understand him not playing, but wish he did.

10.) I'm still confident we can win the SEC Tournament and ultimately win a National Title with this team. We can beat anybody. And there are road games in the tournament. We can figure it out.

Agree with all except #10. Think we exit in the Sweet 16. This team is just too inconsistent.

We have been inconsistent playing these tough road games last Saturday at TA&M when we should have left A&M with the Victory. We all know if a certain REF doesn't call a 'T' Hump rebounds, gets fouled, he already earlier hit 2 ft's so he hits 2 FTs and we leave with a huge Win. Today in the 1st half near the end of the half we already had missed 6 or 7 FT's and we had a 8 point lead cut to 3 at the half missing FT's. We start fairly well in the 2nd half with Murray hitting another 3 and up 7 with Briscoe layup. We were playing fine until the under 8 timeout and down only 58-56. Then we only score 6 points to finish the game and I agree with Cal that Murray hitting his 31st point at around the 12 minute mark only had 2 FT's the rest of the way. He only took 2 more 3's after that and being at 31 points. As hot as Murray was I would have kept feeding him when Vandy wasn't even guarding the 3 in the last 5 or 6 minutes of the game. If we can hit a couple of 3's with Vandy not hitting either we would have been right back in the game. Just need to win these next 2 games and finish #1 or #2 in the SEC Tourney and then win the Tourney. Head into the NCAA Tourney with a #3 Seed and we will be fine. Just need to get Healthy and Stay Healthy.

I was done at trusting Andrew over Tyler. The same Andrew who refused to follow Cals instructions at the end of the Wisconsin. game? Sorry, that tainted your whole post for me.

Refused to follow Cal's instruction? That's a new one.

But I'm talking the same Andrew that led the team to 2 Final Four runs and was the pg for a team that won 38 in a row.

Yes, we have been inconsistent at times. But because of injuries and disappointing individual performances I don't think we've had a consistent starting five for more than a four game period this year. I think it is probably difficult to get an established game flow when the starters are changing so often.
