Isn't he the guy that used to have a screenname with Tom Cruise wearing goggles? [roll]
Not sure. What I do know is that he posts on the duke board like he's a fan of theirs.

Edit: I've called him out on it probably a dozen times. He never responds. Lol

Message boards are for you because you clearly don't know when to stop. You just keep babbling on and on. You are def passive aggressive...you highlighted you weren't mad and then highlighted how you were in a not so direct way. You drug me off topic, brought up my kids- no clue why, you changed this from what it was initially, to what it is now.

I'm done with it. Don't want to ignore you because I like some of your posts...not sure why you think I've been after you since day 1? I've responded to just a handful of your posts.

I don’t bring peoples kids up. You did earlier. Talked about your kids and priorities or some sht. I don’t know. I couldn’t care less to attack someone’s kids this is getting stupid.

I’m a a UK die hard that wants Cal to reach goat status. It’s that simple.

If the shoe fits wear it then. Only a fool would nitpick a coach that has delivered 4 FF’s in 9 years.

I don’t believe that. Ben Howland went to 3 consecutive final fours. No one even comes close to mentioning him as even close to great and he was ran out of town by UCLA.

I get for some people none of this really matters and as long as something decent happens they’re fine either way. But not everyone is like that. I’d say the vast majority of UK fans aren’t like that.

Cal has 1 title and 4 final fours at UK. He’s had a great run. He’s a HOF. But he hasn’t reached immortality in the same as a Knight, K, or Rupp. I think he can and I want to see it happen. I don’t think that’s nit picking. I just think it’s another angle to college basketball and historical position.

We’ll have to wait and see how Cal’s run at UK plays out. If he were to stay another 10 years and not win another title then yes I’ll be a little disappointed. But in no way do I see him pulling a Ben Howland and getting shown the door at UK. He’s far too good of a coach and definitely too much of an alpha personality to accept mediocrity.

We can agree this is getting stupid. I can assure you I didn't bring up my kids...also I never said you attacked them. I said you brought up my kids, which you did and it made no sense.

Let's just move on...

He has recently admitted that he's here to get a rise out of UK fans. Did you see his baiting post the other day after we beat Tennessee that "home court advantage is good for 10-15 points?
I missed it. I wish I were a mod, the trolls/ doom & bloomers & the people in this thread defending them would be long gone. IPs blocked.

K, Roy, Knight, Rupp and Wooden are in a different class than John Calipari.

Wake me up when "Swaggy Cal" doesn't get tight in a close tournament game and choke it away like he did with Memphis, vs WVU in 2010, vs Wisconsin in 2015 and UNC in 2017.
Consider yourself woke.

Princeton 2011
Ohio State 2011
North Carolina 2011
Louisville 2014
Michigan 2014
Wisconsin 2014
Wichita State 2017

Top of my head. All close games. Look at his record against top 4 seeds in the tournament, puts K and Roy to shame.

I understand you are simply flaming, and aren't really looking for an answer. But that post was sheer dumbassery.

new era cat is a Duke fan? Good grief. That explains a lot. I will never, ever understand trolling - who has time to pretend to be someone they aren't? Pathetic. I really wish there were an easy way to distinguish between grumpy/negative/glass is bone dry "fans" vs trolls.

Duke or UNC will win 9 championships before Cal gets his 9th unless he lands an AD or Zion type.

Lol, you're right, those are so much worse than losing to Lehigh, Mercer, and USCjr in the second round. If you're gonna make that argument don't be so damn stupid about it.

To the other people on this thread that are comparing 10 losses between Cal and Tubby--it's a little disingenuous. They played a little bit less games in Tubby's time. Tubby averaged about 34 games a season, while Cal after this season, at a minimum, will be averaging 37 games per season. It could go as high as 38 games a season if he were to make the championship. Part of that is Cal going further in the tournament but it's still worth noting.

Also, is there really that huge a difference between going say 29-8 and losing in the Sweet 16 vs. 26-11 and losing in the Sweet 16 as well?

The difference is that when Tubby lost 10 games he was flaming out in the second round or getting beat handily in the Sweet 16. Tubby lost 10 or more games 5 times and finished in the tournament: Second Round, Sweet 16, Sweet 16, Second Round, Second Round.

Cal has lost 10 or more games 3 times, but if you include 9 or more it will make it a comparable number just for sake of argument. In those years, Cal has been to a Final Four, NIT, Championship Game, Second Round, Sweet 16.

In the two samples above, Tubby averaged 22.6 wins while Cal averaged 26.4 wins. The two samples are in no way equatable, and honestly the NIT could be considered an outlier due to injury.

Cal is not above criticism but save me the Tubby comparisons good lord.

Good post. On the 10 losses, Tubby and Cal, I think of it more simply: If Tubby had a team that lost 10 games, that was a good reflection of how strong that team was, and a good predictor of its tournament success (which is frankly all that matters). Cal is different than anyone else - his teams start slow, take on a few losses that they wouldn't only because they are so young, then come on strong later in the year. The number of losses with a Cal team does not really reflect how good the team is, and it's not a good predictor of what his team will do in the NCAAT. No one wants to play a typical Calipari team in March, no matter how many losses it has.....

He is absolutely of that mold. K’s been at Duke since Christ. Over their first 9 years, Cal’s record is better than any of those in their first 9 years.

And you get to watch Cal take over for at least a decade when the old guard retires which is soon. Then Duke becomes Indiana or UCLA (there’s always one and this era it’s Duke) while UK continues to be the greatest of all time.

And you will hate it like everyone else always does and I will laugh at you while you Bandwagon to the next current Duke, UCLA, or Indiana

Dude you legit post here more than you do on your own duke board. We could stop playing for the next 3 years and you guys still wouldn't catch us in wins or titles so go on somewhere little kid.

Morgy brought politics into RR? You never see that.

It is odd how often folks who are most likely to make an issue about politics being brought into conversations tend to inject politics themselves very regularly and seemingly don't even realize they are doing it because such is so reflexive for them.

They have no issue with politics in a dialog just politics they don't cotton to.

Maybe you prefer the choke against Indiana in 2002 or Kansas last year?

Or maybe the Mercer and Lehigh chokes. Or the *** kicking from South Carolina in 2017.

Predicting 12 losses, totally not surprised in the least. It wasn’t even reasonable to do it earlier in the year, just a complete lack of basketball understanding and of the Cal era.

If UK wins just one more game this season it will be mathematically impossible for them to finish with 10+ losses.
