Who cares? It's not your money... If millionaire boosters were willing to pay it, it doesn't matter.

We got to move on and put this all behind us instead of talking about Frost all day.

all that's happened since we fired him was we got absolutely nuked by a bad oklahoma team. and we paid $7.5 million for the privilege of getting nuked. absolutely should have kept him til 10/2, if not longer.

Right because getting a coach fired two weeks early is definitely worth $7.5 million dollars. especially when the game coached by the interim coach was our worst game of the season, by far
Why do you care how other people spend their money?

I don't. And yet still, it wasn't worth $7.5 million. someone can spend $7.5 million dollars on a McDonalds hamburger. do I really care, no because it's not my money. and yet I can still say, that hamburger isn't worth $7.5 million dollars. see how that works?

It was worth it to whoever paid the $7.5 million. You aren't the arbiter of value.

they may have thought it was worth it at the time. guarantee there having regrets now after seeing how absolutely nothing has changed. actually I think we would have been more competitive with oklahoma under frost. so they paid $7.5 million dollars for us to get embarrassed on national tv. you would have to be either delusional or an emotional child ("I want what I want and I want it right now!!") to think it was worth it

It might be worth that if you had to eat in the next minute or die. Context.

I actually agree that we would have been more competitive with Oklahoma, if Frost was coaching.

when those same boosters are making the final decisions on our football program the last 20+ years then it does affect all of us.

If we win today maybe it was worth getting rid of him two weeks early. Ain’t no effin way they were going to win another game under Frost. So maybe wait a few more games before making any conclusions.

I'm conflicted on letting Frost go before 10/1. I suppose If we would have kept him and the fans were so disenchanted they didn't sell out the rest of the games this year I'd be disappointed in losing that streak, so I'll look at it that way.

Yeah, I know the critiques of the sellout streak, but I never hear TV announcers put an asterisk on it when they say we've sold out our games since 1962. I take pride in that streak.

If we win tonight it just might build enough enthusiasm for the rest of our home games this year.

Frost has almost no chance to save his job once they lost to NW. Losing to Ga Southern was a fireable offense by itself.

But waiting to October 1 could have made for some awkward moments. They would not have fired him today, with a game to play - a theoretically ‘winnable’ game at that. Followed by another winnable game the following week. At 3-3, it might have looked like NU had turned the corner, but they of course, had not.

Alberts was trying to save the season. Under Frost, Nebraska was the worst coached team in P5 football, so there was no reason to think they’d beat anyone left on the schedule. A new leader gives at least a little hope that the season can be salvaged.

Get the stench of crotch rot away from the program, ASAP.

Trev even said it as I paraphrase.

The kids deserve something better.

Would have it if changed anything? Well, yes. We probably 1-4 and Mickey is in week 1 as coach going on a short week into Rutgers on Friday vs 2-3 and mickeys going on week 4 with a little bit of belief from the players. Do you like our chances better against Rutgers with an immediate HC change or without one? I’m saying Good call Trev. GBR

That’s about what a full stadium is worth for a home game.

Did you see the video in the locker room. The culture is changing, that is what we need, everything that has happened on the field probably the same results, but what’s happening off the field, in that locker room. That is what is going to be the difference for years to come if Mickey stays.

We have never seen the locker room after a Scott Frost victory, so really there is no basis for comparison. How do we know that there wasn't the same level of excitement in the locker room after a Scott Frost victory?

After the Northwestern game, donors added 50 million plus to the AD coffers to terminate Frost. GA Southern was the final straw.
Just goes to show idiocy is just as prominent in the wealthy class as it is elsewhere.
