How the 17 do you have no idea how to break a 1-3-1 zone. Howland even mentioned it in his press conference. What a piss effort
Because we are not coached well. The games we win are based on talent, not coaching. And tonight is proof that talent alone can only do so much.
The game of basketball is based on guard play in the last 5 years. You have to have scorers from the 1-2 position. Couple that with Howland putting his bigs that far from the basket and we lost offense movement. We were straight up out coached and out played in the perimeter by better shooters. The game is based on outside in. Just like the NBA. Worst shots are 22 in to about 6 ft.Because we don’t have great guard play.
Hey now, you think it’s easy to beat Ole Miss in basketball? It’s not like they are three games under .500 in league play... oh wait...
And we are woefully coached on the offensive side of the ball.
I get where you are coming from, and there’s no doubt State is more talented. But.. and I know this doesn’t make anyone feel better.. Ole Miss is a significantly better team than their record indicates. And, yes.. I realize that’s something a fan would say. They’ve blown more games than an Ole Miss recruiting hostess would, well... you know
Howland screwed up by not getting a true point guard in here, either in recruiting or transfer. Just trying to convert Nick into one has cost us the season.
Amazing that Howland has completely neutered Molinar. He could be helping us so much more.
22 inches is a gimme isnt it.****The game of basketball is based on guard play in the last 5 years. You have to have scorers from the 1-2 position. In fairness, I agree with you and expected to lose. I did not expect to lose by 25. That is inexcusable.
