The main thing we learned is that liberals pulled against the drug working (and yes y'all did) simply because Trump mentioned it. (Never mind he got his info from Doctors/experts).

That is a very dark and evil state of mind.

But yet we have results that say 17% more died with this mixture vs nothing at all. And some are up voting this up and not skeptical? Why would this be a possible treatment unless there is something to it? I saw multiple people downvote possibilities early for this cocktail for small sample size a few weeks ago but yet I bet these are the upvotes for this study.

Your bet would be a good one. It’s painfully obvious. They’ve been sitting around waiting for the first halfway test that didn’t show positive results and couldn’t wait to show it to us to validate what they reiterated, annoyingly, in all the other threads.

But hey, they aren’t being biased or uninformed. Only the people who think differently than them do that!

238% died while taking HCL and usual care? How many would have died without it? Where’s that information to compare it to? You know, since that other bit was so important in the previously disregarded studies. Why’s this one now definitive?

And LOL..... 368 participants is, in this instance, simply “not a rigorous amount”, but in the aforementioned studies of equally non-rigorous test numbers, any amount this low would have been laughed off the page as “not a real study”.

So in summary, if all of the previous studies were trash, then so is this one. But why is it being defended by a certain obvious and predictable cohort?

This topic and thread are a direct example of what the 17 is wrong with our society.
An admittedly small sample group's results are released, its clearly stated more needs to be learned, and then the caged animals start flinging their political ****.

What an incredibly distorted view.

Many right wingers damn near went out and got hats and shirts made for the drug simply because trump rambled on about it. Everyone else basically said "slow down, this is not a treatment proven to be effective" and got called every name under the sun for doing so.

Way too many people have this zero-sum, tribalist point of view nowadays, where everything is either on your political side (and therefore right and holy) or the "other" (and therefore is wrong and evil and immoral). Sometimes, such as with medicine, it doesn't have to be about politics.

Im sure at least one idiot will throw the tinfoil hat line at me for this but who gives a ****. Look at who is pushing for vaccine only and contradicting all studies and evidence that doesn't fit his agenda and then see where the money is coming from for the vaccine research. It's from the same person who went out of his way to make sure Robert Kennedy jr was not hired to head up the vaccine safety panel. Private money has no business being involved with the NIAID and NIH but the "fund raiser" has allowed it.

Wrong. You should make an effort to get to know some liberals. You'll see that we don't resemble the cariacutues that you've invented.

People see through the horseshit being fed that you happen to believe in so this is an example of what's wrong with society? Gotcha

Yup, I often come into threads that have devolved into **** flinging and post observations on some of the egregiously inaccurate or absurd comments.
...I did it here, for example.

my boss is inexplicably one... any time in the past 3.5 years he says anything it's "your president just said..."

when my boss isn't talking politics, you're right, the liberal isn't nearly what they are made out to be. the problem is the 99% of the time.

Exactly. Our brains have evolved to put the facts that she took the drug and got better and conclude that the drug made her get better. What we don't consider is would she have gotten better anyway and the drug had nothing to do with it.

The compelling thing is not that patients get better, but the abruptness with which they get better.

It's amazing to me that folks rush to spike the football over a potential therapy not working just because they hate Donald Trump.
