Nebraska does the analytics tango by going for 2 points after being down 14 and scoring a TD. They fail on the 2-point conversion and so they are down 8 points.
Coaches who do this are about as smart as coaches who try to convert in short yardage from the shotgun formation.

Where is that clown Saturdays Are Better? His hero just got boat raced in an uninspiring, weak a$$ effort and no where to be found, typical.

Nebraska:
5-0 start, now at 5-4
Will need to go to Piscataway and beat Rutgres next week (before finishing with OSU and Iowa) to achieve the lofty status of "Bowl Eligible".
If they lose to Rutgres, they may not want to come back home.
4th time in the 5 years under Rhule that they have had a late season stretch of at least 4 straight losses. Ouch! (And in the other season, they finished with 3 straight losses)
Nebraska has their own (planned) stadium renovation to pay off.
How long before they start passing the hat to pay Rhule his $60 million buyout to not coach there anymore?

IMHO Pry was a slightly above average DC, In the games where they were losing a lead it always seemed that there was a panic to the defense. No mixing up the look given to the opposition, a full out blitz on every play. I always had the impression that he was somewhat of a boot licker and that BGJ was highly susceptible to evaluating his assistants based on whether they licked his boots. When you look at the assistants that BGJ canned during his PSU tenure he focused only on the offensive side of the ball. Only offensive assistants got fired; Limegrover, Yurcich, Ciarrocca, Stubblefield and Donovan. No defensive assistants were ever fired. It makes me wonder whether their deficiency in the eyes of BGJ that they were not buying into BGJ vision and were maybe even critical of his approach,
If Deluca was the MVP of that game, the thermometer was Co-MVP.
Watched a little of this game and thought SF would start to roll. Guess it never happened. Nice win for ECU. They definitely get the award for widest field logo LOL!
We've discussed this countless times...he has many. See his first win over OU. Not sure why you can't find past Iowa State schedules and results.
MC's resume also has nothing to do with Franklin and why he was fired. Franklin failed miserably in 2025 after going all in. Nothing else matters.

Don't be so angry just because your hero lost in outstanding fashion. Its what he does so well.

This wasn't a big game--which makes it even worse that they lost--right?
James will do a solid job at Va Tech--but this is the type of program he should be at--they'll be happy making the playoffs 3 out of 10 years even if they don't make a deep run.
This is also why James isn't going to FSU or any other perceived big name job.
Honestly, I'm way happier that Rhule lost again--Rhule's complete garbage as a coach and his little outburst last week was pathetic. Win games--he's not new--this is year 4 and he'll struggle to go 7-5 again.
