Did not watch the game, but it seems like James outdid himself this time. I have a sneaking suspicion that we are on a collision course with VT in a pointless bowl game.

Nebraska:
5-0 start, now at 5-4
Will need to go to Piscataway and beat Rutgres next week (before finishing with OSU and Iowa) to achieve the lofty status of "Bowl Eligible".
If they lose to Rutgres, they may not want to come back home.

4th time in the 5 years under Rhule that they have had a late season stretch of at least 4 straight losses. Ouch! (And in the other season, they finished with 3 straight losses)

Nebraska has their own (planned) stadium renovation to pay off.
How long before they start passing the hat to pay Rhule his $60 million buyout to not coach there anymore?

I never thought Pry was a great DC at PSU. He always had a knack for making mediocre QBs look like heisman candidates - especially in the fourth quarter when we’re trying to hold on to a lead. Diaz was a significant upgrade.

Poor hokie fans, Franklin is way too loyal to Pry to let him go.

Tech is getting boat raced. They’re best win is against a horrible Clemson team with a back up FR QB.
IMHO Pry was a slightly above average DC, In the games where they were losing a lead it always seemed that there was a panic to the defense. No mixing up the look given to the opposition, a full out blitz on every play. I always had the impression that he was somewhat of a boot licker and that BGJ was highly susceptible to evaluating his assistants based on whether they licked his boots. When you look at the assistants that BGJ canned during his PSU tenure he focused only on the offensive side of the ball. Only offensive assistants got fired; Limegrover, Yurcich, Ciarrocca, Stubblefield and Donovan. No defensive assistants were ever fired. It makes me wonder whether their deficiency in the eyes of BGJ that they were not buying into BGJ vision and were maybe even critical of his approach,

Moronic post since Franklin beat a higher ranked smu team. Funny how you didn't count that as a bug game but this is a big game.

Big game matt can't even get to big games. He loses small games.

What is Campbell's best win?

If Deluca was the MVP of that game, the thermometer was Co-MVP.

Tom, You missed FSU @Boston College, where the Seminoles will seek their first road win since... November 25, 2023. That was one day after PSU shut out MSU 42-0 at Spartan Stadium.

if he HAD won you would have said it wasn't a big game
This wasn't a big game--which makes it even worse that they lost--right?
James will do a solid job at Va Tech--but this is the type of program he should be at--they'll be happy making the playoffs 3 out of 10 years even if they don't make a deep run.
This is also why James isn't going to FSU or any other perceived big name job.

Honestly, I'm way happier that Rhule lost again--Rhule's complete garbage as a coach and his little outburst last week was pathetic. Win games--he's not new--this is year 4 and he'll struggle to go 7-5 again.
