Oklahoma's secondary is legit af. Be as good as a test as any to see if the consistency holds up.
Yep. When he has guys open for chunks this week, he absolutely cannot miss seeing them. I have zero doubt the offense will give him the opportunity.

I believe it’s time for ole @bigblueinsanity (the real) to give us his weekly Sunday update on all the things Minchey did wrong.
Or have you finally thrown in the towel?
Dude, just show some humility and admit you’ve been wrong. And contrary to how you’re making it sound, Minchey did not just recently “elevate”, he’s been excellent nearly all season, you just refused to give him credit for it.Guess what - minchey indeed elevated his play since my op and it shows. He had two really good throws: 1) deep to darby 2) under pressure to miller.
That said, our offensive struggles the first two series were all minchey. Both possessions he missed willie in the middle of the field for big games. Also on the play where baxter got hurt, minchey had willie and Barnes wide open much deeper.
The one really bad decision was trying to force it in to miller (iirc) down the seam into single high while he had willie open again. Very, very lucky to not get picked.
Again, at the time of the op it was accurate and we're all seeing him grow. He's finally starting to take the deeper routes when they're open instead of constantly taking the short option.
Minchey is a beast. Give me a QB like him every year. Poise, clutch, and throws and good ball. He’s accurate and very smart.Weird first take after a big win. I’m just going to enjoy where we’re at vs where we were.
Very smart, that’s his biggest attribute.Minchey is a beast. Give me a QB like him every year. Poise, clutch, and throws and good ball. He’s accurate and very smart.
Now give equal time to each good play/decision he made last night as you have to the poor/bad ones here.Guess what - minchey indeed elevated his play since my op and it shows. He had two really good throws: 1) deep to darby 2) under pressure to miller.

Don’t forget that he has nice hair too!Guess what - minchey indeed elevated his play since my op and it shows. He had two really good throws: 1) deep to darby 2) under pressure to miller.

I'm not a casual fan because I'm not at the games. I was a 42 seasons season ticket holder who drove 90 minutes each way. My partners all crapped out for various reasons so I stopped.I literally did exactly that. I continuously point out things where he does well. I just point out his misses too. Casual fans, especially if you aren't at the games, dont see how many opportunities we missed this season on easy defender reads.
The real issue is fans dont understand nuance and that's why I get so much hate in this thread.
The truth is the strength of our offensive units is 1) OL 2) TE 3) wr 4) qb 5) rb. Of that group, qb had the most room for improvement. He has improved, but still has more room to grow.
It is really impressive. He really does embrace the one play at a time and does not let past events dictate the moment. Focused. My main positive on Minchey. His poise. Never seen anything like it. 2 bad drives. That’s ok. Doesn’t affect him. He’ll rip your heart out on the third. Always calm, cool and collected. Exudes confidence across the whole team.
I think he’s gotten better on his run/don’t run decisions. I think he’s gotten better But could still improve his field vision but I think that will continue to improve.
Back to the poise and confidence. You can’t teach that and not sure you can put a price on what that does for the whole team.

Yes, the poise is unreal right now and yes, it cannot be taught. I also want to give credit to the line for holding up well on his drop backs, but even then, he stood in there and took some huge hits to drive the ball down the field. My main positive on Minchey.
