dadar you're really intelligent with finance. But remember when we had all those years of 0% rates....we knew there would be a reckonning....yep trump is not a fiscal conservative...but all 40 trillion was not accumulated during his presidencies. If we want to call him out, we need to call out all who have played a role to include the congresses..
I posted yesterday, which candidate for office this cycle are running on a platform - with a plan- to reduce the deficits? Certainly not the Republicans, and I read yesterday the democrat's plans to spend more on healthcare, and other social programs...so not them either.

As a country, we haven't yet gotten serious about the deficits and they will keep rising until someone makes it a priority. Clearly other than Rand Paul there aren't many
I gave up on the deficit. I used to care until DOGE was essentially rejected by both parties.

I firmly believe the only way out is growth. Have you seen the amount of debt taken on by our mega caps the last 6 months? It's an AI future with outsized growth, or bust.

I no longer am a deficit hawk. I care much more about creating conditions to sustain the growth we invested in.

I believe in Elliot Wave and have for many years. I know you don’t.

We have not seen anything yet. I am 74 years old and will not live long enough to see the peak. I would like to see the midpoint of Wave 3 since the country started, but probably won’t.
Continue to accumulate assets and tell your descendants what is coming.

Hey im a big believer in whatever works for you. Technical Analysis is not my thing, but to each their own. There are a myriad of ways to skin the cat when trading.

At least we are getting growth from it. Don't leave out that part of the story or you will still be short those NQ's. Hopefully you covered, been straight up since you posted going short.
That was some time ago. I do like gold and the mining stocks for buy, hold and add on a dip under 4000 on gold though with focus on uranium, nuclear and energy.

You appear to be a candidate for shock treatment based on your delirious posts

you have to wonder..about 1 million of Biden admins were adjusted down and now 1 million of trump's. Are we paying people to be this inefficient? If we're this far off maybe we should reevaluate how we calculate the numbers in the first place
I agree it's a weird system and we need to find a way to make them more accurate. Off by 90% is outrageous.

And why it was absolute bullsh.it that the previous BLS administrator was fired for numbers that were better than these. It's almost like it was driven by pure political rage by a fragile snowflake of a man.
so fire everybody associated with these debacles

Buddy are you ok? You've been spinning out pretty bad lately. Gotten too hard to "whatabout" I guess?
well something is wrong with the methods of an agency that is wrong by such margins. Dpic brought up the fact that Trump fired the previous head of BLS over the grossly missed numbers....are you ok with this ginormous missed data?

Yea, I'm ok,

Yeah .. I've never called you a Maggot or anything else.

I have pointed out your tendency to address every concern with Whataboutism.

Speaking of 13 years old girls.... The recent fake passive aggressiveness seems pretty on point for that demographic.

Ned, do you watch Fox News and if so, for how long?

As I have noted before, I have been down that road.

ldom,,,really, really seldom watch Fox news or any of the national news outlets. I get my news from papers...WP, Washington times, centre daily times, my post, daily caller, Orlando Sentinel, newser and WSJ.....

I find all the news outlets these days to be biased in not only the overall outlet but the individual writers in their articles. I think I'm smart enough to see through the biases and come to my own conclusions.

Where I differ from a lot of you come from my experiences. After my Army career, based on my final position in the office of legislative Liason, I got a job in one of the top 5 defense/national security firms and became the director of the office after about 4 months - everybody else was bad...

So I had the unique opportunity to speak with, work with, travel with, have meals with members of both house and Senate, both parties. Had the chance to work in the Pentagon as an assistant secretary of defense for house affairs, during the Clinton administration, but at that point I would have had to take a significant pay cut and at the time couldn't afford to do that.

I see all this political stuff for what it is...a game.....with decisions made on the basis of what will get me reelected, decisions made by people who have no idea of the subject matter and who, in some instances have even nor idea what they're voting on.

I've also been a US Representative to NATO twice and I get a real kick out of some of the comments on here about the US and our relations with that organization. NATO nations have been taking advantage of us for decades.

In the military arena, I've commanded..once in combat, served on Brigade and Division staffs, and attended all the normal colleges up to and including the War College. So when folks who have zero service experience wax elequently about Ukraine and Iran and theoretically call for use of US ground forces "if that's what it takes" or using "whatever means necessary" to assist Ukraine, I'm not sure they are really aware of what their proposing.

Enough about why I post the way I do...I am a product of my background, as are we all.

The use of ground forces is way down the list when it comes to Trump's Russia love and how he has played and screwed Ukraine at every opportunity

The NATO thing is a lot more complicated.

The Bretton Woods System

Established by delegates from 44 nations at the United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference held in July 1944, this system created the rules for post-war commercial relations. It pegged global currencies to the U.S. dollar, which was convertible to gold at $35 per ounce, aiming to ensure exchange rate stability and prevent competitive devaluations. The conference founded two major institutions: the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to monitor exchange rates and lend to countries with balance-of-payments deficits, and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), now part of the World Bank Group, to finance reconstruction and development. The system effectively ended in 1971 when President Richard Nixon suspended the dollar's convertibility to gold, leading to the era of floating exchange rates formalized by the Jamaica Accords in 1976.

There is lot lot more to that when it comes to international commerce responsibilities, etc etc etc

The economic impact the US gained from this over time was tremendous I agree that Ukraine should be a Europe responsibility, but the way in which we are going about it with the trump Putin bromance thinking it is a good thing reminds me of a Louis Black line "It is like saying a stroke is good for a nap".
