I dont think we are owed anything and not sure they know any kind of a time table. It would be nice to have clarity on whether its turf toe, ankle, or hammie. Or all of the above. Im assuming its turf toe. That's the strongest rumor out there. If Lebby is not telling us about surgery or something thats bad. If its turf toe playing him against Bama was pretty stupid. Idk but he might be healed by now if he had rested it that game plus the bye.

What’s unknown? He’s healthy we’re pretty good, he’s out we suck. What is the advantage in having them prepare for Puckett to run KT out there?
Having your opponent waste time practicing for players they'll not see keeps them from focusing their practice time only on the ones they will.
Information is power.

Ya what I’m saying is anyone who plays us is just preparing for KT and if they get Puckett, whatever. No DC has 2 different game plans for our offense.

Let me preface this by saying I don’t believe this is what it going on but it also wouldn’t shock me if this were a way for him to limit snaps/exposure to injury for a NIL offer that’s got to him through back channels.

That’s overrated. Especially when the drop-off between KT & Fluff and their backups is so huge.

Lebby is saving him for another team that he'll transfer to for more NIL?

I’m saying Kamario could be milking this injury to avoid snaps. If I had a huge raise on the table I might. Coach, my anus hurts real bad.
You know we have team doctors and an entire medical staff that conduct / review X-rays, consult with other experts, etc, right?

It’s not like coaches are just taking a player’s word for what the doctor tells him. This whole theory is bonkers.

That’s not even considering the fact that there’s pretty much no injury that he can sustain that he wouldn’t be 100% recovered from by September of 2027, anyway. Whatever K1 wants, whether it’s winning the Heisman at MSU and leading us to unparalleled success, or maximizing his NIL payday in 2027…..the path for it is only possible by playing football, not sitting out.

The surest way to know if he'll play or not is to watch the betting line . The odds makers and big "players" will know . Been that way forever .

Looking at Lebbys Press conference and Robbie’s notes.. seems to me that as of right now we are looking at Puckett again this week.

I mean what if the truth is what we already know? It’s day to day and they won’t know until closer to gametime?
At this point, going back to what I said earlier in this thread - I've about decided I wish he would go ahead and tell the public KT is out for the forseeable future just to shut everyone up. Then if he comes back next week: SURPRISE BITCHES!!!

If the players are paid professionals now, which they are, then we deserve to know something, given many of us are paying for this experience now.

Health status/injury prognosis - no

Depth chart decisions strictly related to performance on the practice field or in-game - yes

The fans have a right to know what they're funding.

From the presser today.....

Question: How has Kamario progressed this week so far and is he expected to play on Saturday?

LEBBY: The injury report will continue to speak to that. He didn't wake up yesterday morning and was healed. So it's it's gonna be day to day. He's got a lot of work to do, but we'll see where we end up.

Lebby isn’t going to come out and say Kamario isn’t playing. He would like to have a good crowd and if he announced Puckett is starting the crowd will be very thin. Lebby knows a good crowd will help. Oklahoma isn’t an offensive juggernaut and a roaring crowd will help. Heck maybe we kick 5 field goals and win we certainly had an opportunity to kick 4 times or so last week.

As much as I want to know personally, I say no. The advantages the unknown has on the opposition is worth more than my comfort level.
The advantage is the reason it's not done. The uncertainty of what to prepare for for the other guy and limit your exposure as the team with the questionable player. Problem is Lebby went into the game 3 weeks back knowing KT was gimpy. Had to have a really good idea that he wasn't playing LSU and still the product on the field was awful. If your going to suck on the field anyway, no need to piss off your whole fan base on the way. Just turns up the heat on the seat faster.

What “we” are owed is a head coach who isn’t totally dependent on 2 (TWO) players to win football games.

One Big Toe and One High Ankle Sprain could very well cost the current head coach his job, and frankly it should if he hasn’t recruited enough debt in year 3 to win 6 or 7 games when his team started the season 4-0.
