At least it wasn’t for “Heidi.”
That was a first, so I'm assuming either the NFL has caught flack about not cutting to the late afternoon games.......or it's just more of the NFL sucking off the Chiefs.
It's always been that way. The local team gets priority on its local affiliate.
Why can’t the networks go to a split screen and show both games instead of pissing people off?

It was a sloppy game against the worst team in the NFL.
There have been ways to watch any game you want for some time now.
This is a no win situation. If you are a Chiefs or Chargers fan, or if the Hawks were playing, you would be mad if they kept showing the other game, and it cut into your teams game.
This happens repeatedly with Hawk basketball games. The early game runs long and the Hawk game is joined “in progress”. (Sometimes it can be shown on another channel until the first game is over, but not always, and definitely not on network TV.)
