Why? I'm not against it but what does this do?
If anything it hurts us as we try to add players via the portal. Do you think next year's QB is on our roster now? I dont.
I disagree. I agree that Manske should get some work but you have to try and win every game. That said Becht does some good things but those two interceptions were awful. There's no way a guy with his experience should throw those two passes. The sack and fumble is also a product of not knowing what's happening around you. Can't happen.
Because Rocco Becht is a 5th year season who is worse than Matt Senneca
He's not worse than Seneca but regardless you play the best guy. If Rocco is your best he plays.

What about our defensive tackles. The only thing they have going for them is their waist lines. They are not aggressive, tough, or athletic. The linebackers are bad minus rojas but the defensive tackles are abysmal.
I agree with the OP, this is the NFL now guys, you forgot. Campbell's loyalties to these ISU guys are an abdication of his responsibility. The season is over, like in the NFL, they are going to have to negotiate contracts with all players on this roster. He should really be playing everyone at this point and trying to understand who they should pay or not. He said in the post game that there is NO consideration to benching becht......how is that possible? Is this manske kid worth $2M next year or not? How do we know?
Why does anyone think Manske is starting next year? We'll be chasing a portal QB like most teams. Maybe we get Underwood and those that like dual threat QBs can be happy until we play a game. We could also bring Beau back as another coach is going to run him off.

Seneca didn't play as much to make as many errors. Seneca completed only 43% of his passed and had more INTs than TDs. Rocco's better simply by default.
Based on what? None of you make any sense--Manske was never brought in to start in 2027.
His loyalty to Becht may backfire for getting portal guys if they’re worried he’s going to be equally loyal to Manske.

What we don't know is how Manske is looking in practice. Maybe he's not lighting the world on fire relatively speaking.
As I said we have a lot of guys that could be replaced. Our entire defensive line is bad. Ebel is bad. The offensive line is okay in pass protection but horrible at run blocking. I think you get what I'm saying.
And the offensive line includes three highly ranked Penn State guys. My biggest gripe is who the hell recommended these defensive tackles and ends. There's not an average player in the group.

Why would someone be concerned when he didn't go to Manske now? If he goes to Manske now, we're less likely to get a portal QB--just using your logic
If the best option to win is a qb who can’t beat Lehigh, he doesn’t belong at PSU

And I wonder how different things would be with Howard healthy--we know from Becht's past he's WR reliant

He cost us the game today with 3 horrible mistakes--he should have been benched after the 2nd pick--you can be critical without being ridiculous.
We also didn't lose last week because of him--he actually played well vs USC.

We lost close games to Wisconsin, Michigan and USC. He has to play better--so do a lot of others.
