Is that bad for Donnie?
You make me laugh. As long as he hasn't done anything illegal, he's in no danger.
Its like this guy just has no view on the actual events of the last 2 years. You make me laugh.
If I remember correctly, the charges could still be pursued but there would be some major roadblocks to making it happen. Its like this guy just has no view on the actual events of the last 2 years.
How about the Jack Smith charges? Are those going to come back once POTUS is no longer #47?
I just did a quick google search. Its like this guy just has no view on the actual events of the last 2 years.

You're a parody of yourself at this point.would not have guessed that one. I don't think Donnie Is much concerned. As long as he hasn't done anything illegal, he's in no danger. Bad for members of both parties though...people are alittle tired of Insider trading

It's weird as well, because the only people on this forum that will have the level of conversation he wants to have, are the left leaning. Other than bdgan, there aren't even 3-4 maga adherents on this board who will have the measured, honest, and thoughtful conversations about politics or ideology that he seeks.Nah he's been paying attention. The way it works though is that if it's a good thing for the Republicans, it's definitely as good as they're saying. If it's bad and it's plausibly not their fault, it's not their fault. If it's bad and can't be anything other than the Republican's fault, either acknowledge it or make a joke and ignore.
Reverse everything when it comes to Democrats and that's how it works.

seriously, why so...it isn't illegal to make money. It doesn't make for good conversation to make $2billion while president, but as long as it's done legally why worry. You make me laugh.
I'm really kind of surprised that some of you immediately jump to conclusions that Trump is guilty of some crimes. Whatever happened to the concept of innocent until proven guilty? We can each have opinions, but so far all I've seen are accusations...no charges, no trials....You make me laugh.
that's not an accurate assessment. It's simply a point of opportunities.I respond negatively to some of the unsupported statements of folks on the right. But there are just so many posts from those of you on the left that are just accusations of trump or republicasns that seem to have little basis in fact. And you don't like it when someone says that. Now dpic will post something from a left leaning site that corresponds with his opinion and use that post as proof. But the person he reposts know no more than dpic.Nah he's been paying attention. You guys are convinced trump has committed crimes. Ok...he may have. I'm not saying he hasn't. You all might be 100% right. But we have a system in this country..remember, have to protect democracy...yet without anyone even filing a charge you've already convicted him...how is that protecting democracy.
On you pardon "example"...didn't the last guy pardon just about everyone in his "circle"? I expect trump will do the same and even attempt to pardon himself. But seemingly there were good reasons in 2024...
I personally don't care if Trump and his entire family end up in jail for any crimes committed. But, we have a process which begins with someone filing charges - which does not in and of itself mean the person charged is guilty - then we go through the process....
Now, I might take the same position you just did..whenever TG or FP make a statement about a Democrat you have a negative response, but when someone bring up a Democrat thing there is always a reason that justifies it...but, yea I know, that's different
But, as I posted, if Donnie hasn't done anything illegal, he has no worries
Are we going to enter a time of political violence similar to Japan in the 1920s? If the politicians don’t begin to listen to their constituents and just enrich themselves I could see it happening.
You can say what you want about Lyndsey Graham, but his net worth at death was about $2 million. He didn’t enrich himself and I have to give him credit for that. Saying all of that we absolutely have a corruption problem. It’s really just the boomers to be blamed for it.We're in a tricky spot because we do legitimately have lots of politicians doing shady things and we combine that with a general public that's on a real populist streak and aren't very good at critical thinking.
For example (and I'm not going to sit here and say with confidence that all of the Pelosi's trading was all perfectly legal), I saw a post showing how much Nancy Pelosi is worth right now vs what she was when she came into office and they were like CROOK! But if you sat and did the math, if she'd just left her net worth invested in the stock market with no further investments that got her to 85% of the number. People going around parroting ******** and talking about the "donor class", "billionaire class", "consultant class", "oligarchs", "radical left" is all dangerous; it's a shortcut that allows us to have an enemy without needing to think. And that's where I do think we can see more violence in general; people seeing enemies and not thinking.

If you dig into the crosstabs, it shows that 60% of respondents are extremely concerned about the issue. Would this be an extreme concern unless they thought it was illegal? Are you trying to claim that corruption is not inherently illegal?seriously, why so...it isn't illegal to make money. It doesn't make for good conversation to make $2billion while president, but as long as it's done legally why worry.

When he crushes the rebellion, he'll probably claim he ended nine wars. It’s what he wants. He wants the riots you see in albania so he can declare martial law and end elections.
He didn't insider trade or straight up extort money like the Ambassador to Greece. He took his salary and saved for retirement.Well depending on what "enrich yourself" means, I don't think it's fair to expect politicians (or anyone) to have high net worths. Maybe I feel that way just because I'm a Bogle-head but if I left my net worth alone right now, it's going to be a very gaudy number by the time I'm Pelosi's age. And my net worth has only come from income invested in broad index funds +some inheritance that was generated the same way.

Maybe because he's a political hack only interested in corruption in blue states and many of his targets were later found to be legitimate businesses. Standing outside a building with locked doors is not evidence of fraud. And most of the businesses he targeted were already under investigation. If this is a good thing, why does the left hate Nick Shirley? Seems like he's exposing a crap ton of it.
Is that bad for Donnie?
Wait. You're saying there's no equivalent on the other side? You know...like pretty much the entire mass media my entire life? But thanks for confirming that it's not really government corruption you're worried about. It's just GOP government corruption you're worried about. Hey! You're just like Nick Shirley! Awesome!Maybe because he's a political hack only interested in corruption in blue states and many of his targets were later found to be legitimate businesses. But let's not conflate a YouTuber with the most corrupt politician of all time who openly flaunts his corruption in the faces of the population he fleeces.
Look at you trying to lamely bothsides corruption. This was a FoxNews poll, not a lefty rag, that found the number one concern for Americans was Corruption in Government. Do you believe they were thinking about Nick Shirley or Don Lemon when they answered that question? This is not my opinion or me making a case about anything - I'm just sharing the poll results.Wait. You know...it's not hard finding all your posts defending Don Lemon. I suppose you find him a "down the middle" kind of reporter looking for the truth wherever he can find it. LOL

The issue is that Nick Shirley is a paid maga influencer- he's "investigating" where they tell him, as a wing of their propaganda.Wait. You're saying there's no equivalent on the other side? OK. So does Don Lemon and every other investigative person. You think CNN wanted their people snooping into Obama? MSNBC suddenly stopped caring about the war and White House goings on once Bush was out of office. And yet, many of us were still actually interested in exposing all corruption, regardless of the side it was coming from. The issue is that Nick Shirley is a paid maga influencer- he's "investigating" where they tell him, as a wing of their propaganda.
So, you never heard of Federalism, eh? Three levels of government? You know all these people live in states with state governments as well, right? Which would definitely be more concerning to most people. Unless you're a lefty in California. Then you're perfectly fine with being robbed...as long as its a Democrat doing the robbing.Look at you trying to lamely bothsides corruption. It's good for Trump cousin goober. He is exposing corruption with arrests and prosecutions to back it up.
Just look at the facts. Trump is the only one fighting corruption and theft of taxpayer funds. While the overarching topic of the survey is "corruption in government," the underlying data shows that respondents heavily focus on Trump when explaining what that government corruption actually looks like.
According to the full cross-tabulation report published by Navigator Research, the specific group of Americans who rank government corruption as a top-five priority primarily define it through the lens of Trump and his political allies. [1, 2]
When these high-priority respondents were asked what "government corruption" specifically means to them:
Furthermore, the data reveals that when respondents evaluate corruption within Washington, a clear 60% majority state that Trump is bringing more corruption to the government rather than fixing it. This is a 20-point margin over those who believe he is cleaning it up. When forced to choose which party embodies government corruption more, 46% point to the Republican Party compared to 34% who choose the Democratic Party—a gap that expands to 51% when Trump is explicitly factored into the choice. [1]
- 25% explicitly stated it means "Trump and Republicans' actions".
- 26% defined it as "elected officials engaging in lies and crimes", and 19% defined it as "elected officials getting rich in office." [1, 2]
So while the question is framed broadly around "government," the crosstabs show that for a significant portion of the public, thoughts of federal government corruption are deeply tied to Trump and the Republican party. [1]
While pardoning 70 individuals, including billionaires, for financial crimes that have erased 1.3 Billion in court ordered restitution and fines owed to victims and the federal government. Not to mention those found guilty of trafficking 400 tons of cocaine into the country and the Founder of Silk Road who was serving a life sentence.Just look at the facts. Trump is the only one fighting corruption and theft of taxpayer funds.
If this is a good thing, why does the left hate Nick Shirley? Seems like he's exposing a crap ton of it.
You've moved the goal post. You asked why the left hates Nick Shirley- the reason is because he's a paid maga shill who is part of their propaganda network and used as a political retaliation tool by the people literally running our government.OK.
Billions of dollars being stolen from Cali in the name of solving the homeless problem. Newsome says "No audit" and the left is perfectly fine with it. Making my point. You only care about corruption from the other side and will go as far to deflect away from your side's corruption.
