Despite it being a cupcake game, it does give us a look at the bench role players. Let's us know if Hawthorne, Potter, Mason, are complete projects or at least capable spirt reserves. It will also be interesting to see, if we are truly going to be without Morton for an extended period of time, if someone like Noah, Kam, or Hawthorne gets some run at the 2. Or even if they force Zyon into action (and what, if anything, he has to offer).

Excited for the game. Allows me to get cheap great seats and see the team whereas I can’t normally do that.

I think it’s going to be a relative ghost town in there by looking at the ticket resale sites.

Heck how often have we gotten to see a Pope team have their best starting 5 available? Maybe 20 times the first two years combined including exhibitions? (With our injury luck and his hot seat, who knows how many more times it’ll even happen lol).

Arkansas Little Rock is starting at 210 in the KenPom preseason ratings. That would actually be one of our better cupcakes that we play, ahead of Manhattan, Grambling, Northern Arizona, App St, Bryant, Sacred Heart, and Gardner Webb. (The previous point is more about our weak SOS in the cupcakes than a positive for Arkansas LR)

Excited to see Ousi and Wilkins in particular

Hard to imagine Rupp being so quiet but I suspect crickets chirping. Hard to show up for something that hasn't returned the favor for the fans. Mark has his work cut out for him and we support him. Just not in person Friday night. Go Cats!!

Should be a good opportunity to see the rotation bench guys get a lot of play, excited to see Reece potter for the first time and Braydon Hawthorne
I’m excited to see some basketball again. I’d prefer we be a legit contender and I think the Mitchell situation took the collective air out of BBN. That said, I love college ball and can’t wait for it to start. Just no UConn or Duke title again!

Thanks for the reminder.

Its a cupcake exhibition so doubt we learn much. Really won't until the real games start.
You can learn some things about the team in these games. You could tell early on that our great teams were great. Popes first year nobody knew what to expect but after we played the first game you could see that team played well together.

Definitely want to see something from Hawthorne, everyone thought he would be a player on the rise, he sat and learned a year. We took his brother I assume to keep him. I hope he was worth it.

This is the first year ever that football has been so exciting I forgot about when our first exhibition game was. Stoked for basketball to start up. The offseason was a mother ******. Glad to see some game footage. Little Rock has some better players on paper than a normal cupcake. All transfers. Should be a good test.

We still won’t really. Morton being out is our best reserve guard. Mason may end up being better, but Morton is a proven college player so far.

We already know who our studs are… or who they should be. You hope they all look great, but you kind of expect them to dog it in a game like this. What I really want to see is how the bench guys play, because they should be HUNGRY to dominate in a game like this. If they give lax effort, have poor body language or lack confidence, it’s not a good sign.

Excited for the weekend. Basketball Football and Volleyball.

Got a good feeling about this bball season. Depth at every spot as Williams and Noah are close to returning. Several candidates for the ALL SEC teams and what appears to be a team of skilled ball players with bb iq. Shooters. Multiple question marks and a bunch of players I haven’t seen but hear are solid. Can’t wait to see Wilkins, McBride, Diallo, Hawthorne and N’Diaye.
Big season for the coaches. I don’t doubt they care and their work ethic but we have to see the “old” UK swagger and wins!

I was getting my bags off the conveyor at the Lexington Airport yesterday, and the Little Rock basketball team was waiting on their bags too.

I had no idea Travis Ford was their coach!

I would like to see the Cat's lock in and give maximum effort to try to shut them down beginning the work towards proving something defensively. Offensively I want to see them take care of the ball and execute while avoiding letting things get sloppy like these types of games are prone to do. It is a cupcake exhibition but a focused business like approach would mean a lot from my perspective.

I want to watch Zoom. I figure he’ll be able to physically dominate his opponent but I want to see how he moves and distributes the ball.
exhibitions arent the end all be all, but i kind of feel how easy or hard a game like this is for someone to make an impression kind of gives you a sense of what their impact will be on the season.

Good luck to Mark and looking forward to seeing if he can save himself this season. Schedule isn't that tough so let's get it going.. Go Cats!!
Pope's first two schedules have been rated the two most difficult in school history and I don't see this one being much different.

UK has played 9 schedules rated 10.60 or better in their history and have lost double figure games every time. 7 times pre Pope with an average rating of 11.44 and a record of 144-80 64%. Pope's two schedules avg. rating is 13.50 with a record of 46-26 63.9%.

Mark has done a great job putting this roster together and they all seem to really enjoy each other. We got a chance to be very good this season and I can’t wait to watch my Cats absolutely destroy some great teams. I want to beat the dog poo out of Loserville, Tenn(they wish)I See , Can’tsas ,Ark-Cant’sas and everyone else on the schedule. We got the Dogs, size, the shooting and everything we need to make a run at a final four this year as long as we can stay healthy. I really think we’re going to love this team more and more as the year goes on. Go Cats.
