Should be a good opportunity to see the rotation bench guys get a lot of play, excited to see Reece potter for the first time and Braydon Hawthorne
SECN+ so I guess online only. I'm sure a bandit stream will be on YouTube, that's what I'll watch. Hopefully. Is it televised by chance?
Either SEC network or SECN+Is it televised by chance?
I’m excited to see some basketball again. I’d prefer we be a legit contender and I think the Mitchell situation took the collective air out of BBN. That said, I love college ball and can’t wait for it to start. Just no UConn or Duke title again!Should be a good opportunity to see the rotation bench guys get a lot of play, excited to see Reece potter for the first time and Braydon Hawthorne
You can learn some things about the team in these games. You could tell early on that our great teams were great. Popes first year nobody knew what to expect but after we played the first game you could see that team played well together. Thanks for the reminder.
Its a cupcake exhibition so doubt we learn much. Really won't until the real games start.
Definitely want to see something from Hawthorne, everyone thought he would be a player on the rise, he sat and learned a year. We took his brother I assume to keep him. I hope he was worth it.Despite it being a cupcake game, it does give us a look at the bench role players. Let's us know if Hawthorne, Potter, Mason, are complete projects or at least capable spirt reserves. It will also be interesting to see, if we are truly going to be without Morton for an extended period of time, if someone like Noah, Kam, or Hawthorne gets some run at the 2. Or even if they force Zyon into action (and what, if anything, he has to offer).
We still won’t really. Morton being out is our best reserve guard. Mason may end up being better, but Morton is a proven college player so far.Excited for the game. Allows me to get cheap great seats and see the team whereas I can’t normally do that.
I think it’s going to be a relative ghost town in there by looking at the ticket resale sites.
Heck how often have we gotten to see a Pope team have their best starting 5 available? Maybe 20 times the first two years combined including exhibitions? (With our injury luck and his hot seat, who knows how many more times it’ll even happen lol).
Arkansas Little Rock is starting at 210 in the KenPom preseason ratings. That would actually be one of our better cupcakes that we play, ahead of Manhattan, Grambling, Northern Arizona, App St, Bryant, Sacred Heart, and Gardner Webb. (The previous point is more about our weak SOS in the cupcakes than a positive for Arkansas LR)
Excited to see Ousi and Wilkins in particular
Totally agreeYou can learn some things about the team in these games. You could tell early on that our great teams were great. Popes first year nobody knew what to expect but after we played the first game you could see that team played well together.
exhibitions arent the end all be all, but i kind of feel how easy or hard a game like this is for someone to make an impression kind of gives you a sense of what their impact will be on the season.I want to watch Zoom. I figure he’ll be able to physically dominate his opponent but I want to see how he moves and distributes the ball.
Pope's first two schedules have been rated the two most difficult in school history and I don't see this one being much different.Good luck to Mark and looking forward to seeing if he can save himself this season. Schedule isn't that tough so let's get it going.. Go Cats!!
I can care about both. Go CatsToo much football going on to care about preseason basketball. Sorry.
