There's a decent amount of these games. Morris traveling to Cahokia, Sycamore plays Althoff, Bloomington at Mahomet-Seymour, and other random games that don't have as much travel.

Nope. The DVC has always had issues scheduling games. The whole conference played a random non-con game at some point this season.

I think because IHSA has expanded the playoffs with more teams added, it makes some teams schedule some tougher competition because most cases they’ll still be in the playoffs as long they have 3 wins or even 2 wins if there isn’t enough 3-6 teams in the class

ESL v Alton clips ... it was truly remarkable at how efficient they were putting up points. I heard the same about last week at West ... three plays max to score. And #72 is at least 6/8 - he towers over his teammates on the line who are exceptionally large humans.
