Chris was the younger brother of Michael, Coach at Foard. Both Michael and Chris played in the Shrine Bowl. Michael played at UNC, then Mars Hill. Ron played at Louisiana Monroe. Chris went to Tennessee, then Murray State.

Maiden left quite a few points off the board last night, but Hickory clearly the better team. Special teams were a huge difference. Hickory had maybe the best high school kicker I've ever seen. Hickory had a huge lead, then had a tendency to go through the motions for portions of the game. Maiden was a 37 point Simmons dog, and lost by 22, so we did so-so. We definitely won't beat East Lincoln, but we still have a shot at finishing 5-5. Things will have to be cleaned up though. Absolutely no excuse for defensive linemen lollygagging onto the field when Hickory is about to snap the ball. More than one time. Simply no excuse.
52 the freshman kept playing through a muscle issue. The other 2on jumbo 70 and 73 play both ways and were exhausted towards end of game. These kids aren't made like us back in the day
. They don't seem to have the energy we did. I guess electronics zap it from them to run on

This award is appreciated, but it's just a token to attempt to keep any Hickory listeners allegiate to WNNC. The lead guy is legit in his efforts to bring Catawba Valley football to the entire county. The other clowns arejust that. They are a legend in their own mind.#TornadoPride
