Fellas I think I found a team thats prob as bad as Highland Tech and I never thought it could be possible- North Wilkes got destroyed tonight 56 to 0 by Ashe County. Ashe County is awful, very awful lol
North Lincoln snapped my streak. Told you guys West is a talented team. Hearing from some ppl West should had won by 17. PENALTIES PENALTIES PENALTIES gonna catch up to West if they keep playing around. Good win though
Does that RB of West Iredell remind anyone of Antione Ikard of Maiden from way back. Heβs hard to stop.
Was Ikard #21. I remember some old football Friday night film of him if thatβs him. Heβd be on there every week.
I went to West Iredell tonight. First time Iβve ever seen them. And the RB is great. Would be nice if they didnβt have to use him on defense any. He was gassed a few times. Ikard was also a great back. I was only 8-10 years old when he was playing, but I do remember him being hard to bring down. Maiden had a Ramseur around that same time that was also good.

I believe Ron Ramseur was #21. Not completely sure, but I believe Antoine wore #34.
Smilar in power, but Ikard had a quicker burst of speed. Spense is a workhorse, no flash of speed or moves. He just runs the hell over you and your four other teammates who are hanging on.
Spense resembles more of a (hold on, I'm going waaaaay back to 1977-1980) and Princeton High's Mike Atkinson. He set and held many state records for years and made his living by RPO as well.....Running Players Over.
Honestly last night could of been worse. It's the mistakes that keeps hurting us. Defense starts light's out. But when offense turns ball over on 10 yard line it saps defensive energy. Then when you lose 2 onside kicks it just takes the fire out of the defense. The offense moves the ball but when u have 3 possessions instide the 10 and don't come away with points. You can't beat good teams. But comes back to mistakes. QB calling wrong play or wr running wrong routes. Lord forbid we clean up those I honestly believe we could be dangerous
Who you think wins between Hickory and West Iredell?
I never lost faith in ole Maiden. Was this game on FFN or be on a YouTube playback?
Depends on how good Hickoryβs run D is I would imagine
West Iredell has a good chance to beat hickory if they stay humble after this past Friday's game
You are probably thinking of Michael Ramseur who was a year older than Antoine and is the head coach at Foard.
There was also Chris Ramseur who younger brother of Ron. I think. He was real good RB
Ikard had a mean stiff arm i believe from what folks have told me. I think Spence does too.
I'm leaning a little West Statesville
. Hickory run Def isn't strongest suit. I think hickory is better coached and craftier which could be the game changer. If u base it off South point game they will have trouble with spence especially on the outside
Chris ramsuer was a good RB but went to University of Tennessee as a linebacker. He was a senior my freshman year
Hickory will be prepared and handle West Iredell. Our run defense is awesome as in last night's effort of allowing Maiden 22 yards on 23 rushing attempts. Some folks can't see the forest for the trees. HHS gave up a lot of yards to SP first game but since then the Red Tornadoes have given up 700 yards rushing in 6 games. HHS has the speed and pursuit needed to defeat WI.

I gotta see Maiden stats first but I thinking the RB had more than 22 yards and that your stats are taking into consideration the QB lost yards. Which is technically correct way of doing stats but it skews the the picture. By no means did our RB blow away the stats. But y'all will see when Spence starts running over yalls kids

Hickory will for sure be fine and our run defense is good, letβs just hope there run defense is good enough to hold Jenkins he already has 23 rushing touchdowns.

we are the defending conference champs, again, Spence is who he is, but they got to slow down Jenkins and our passing game as well. What I do know is they will not beat us 37-0. And kids are getting run over because they are hitting too high to much grabbing.
The Ref did not like us down there in the town of Maiden last night
The penalties were ridiculous smh..........Coach Glass was chatting with them refs tonight, but anyways, Coach Joe Glass is a smart coach and his staff is just awesome, A few On-Side kicks last night, when we would get in our jumbo pack formation, Maiden did not have the urgency they needed so they were trying to sub, The scouting report obviously was to shut down Jaheem Jenkins but Hickory just has so many weapons to contain. Penalties put Maiden in the Endzone in the second half, which I did not agree with. We scored 43 points last night and did not have a sharp game at all, but a Win is a Win!!!! #TorandoPride
