I wonder if there is some recruit whose Dad they have offered a job ?
Let it be Derek Anderson. The guy is the definition of success.
Well according to Jack "TMZ" Pilgrim over at KSR it was going to remain unfilled for the season as of 9/28.
Pope said he was fine with his staff and felt he had a tight group on the same page with real chemistry. That was said just this week.
Did Batt put his foot down or is Pope that desperate for a recruit that he’s willing to hire their father?
Scott Rigot for the European connection.
Bio blast:
Dondi Noah

They are just going to move up an analyst. Not anything that will move the needle or change anything
KSR suggests Robinson but also says Pelphrey has been around the program all summer.
Think I read something about Skip to my Lou wanting to coach …anyone else seen that??
Pilgrim reported its likely just promoting Robinson
but also pelphreys been around the team all summer so it could be him
Or Cal's international recruiter who only delivered Briscoe, Barry Rohrssen.Scott Rigot for the European connection.
Which was and still is a pretty stupid thing to say.
Yay! That will really be a bolster to recruiting. Love Pelph, but his time in coaching is long past. Go get a real top assistant coach Pope I mean come on.
Pilgrim wishes he had as much info as TMZ does.
Come on down Ivan Renko!Scott Rigot for the European connection.
This is ********. A spin-doctoring move in response to fallout they got after Pilgrim’s article. We’ll wind up with some mediocre dude filling a chair to keep up appearances. Worse than if we’d either held out for a great one or hired someone’s dad. If you hire a star’s dad at least you can sign his son.
