Kentucky basketball will fill the open assistant coaching job in the coming days

[Anon1730326584]

Wonder who

[UncleAdolph]

I wonder if there is some recruit whose Dad they have offered a job ?

[OldRob]

Reese Alston’s dad?

[OldRob]

Played with Pope, Reese visiting

[CutNets]

Let it be Derek Anderson. The guy is the definition of success.

[Beatle Bum]

I don’t see the case for Anderson.

[TheGreatGooglyMoogly]

Well according to Jack "TMZ" Pilgrim over at KSR it was going to remain unfilled for the season as of 9/28.

[Beatle Bum]

Pope said he was fine with his staff and felt he had a tight group on the same page with real chemistry. That was said just this week.

[Catastic5]

Did Batt put his foot down or is Pope that desperate for a recruit that he’s willing to hire their father?

[Anon200440]

Sounds like it will be rafer "skip to my lou" alston filling that spot

[Beatle Bum]

When did you stop beating your wife?

[will1976]

Scott Rigot for the European connection.

They are just going to move up an analyst. Not anything that will move the needle or change anything

[Beatle Bum]

KSR suggests Robinson but also says Pelphrey has been around the program all summer.

Pope said he was fine with his staff and felt he had a tight group on the same page with real chemistry. That was said just this week.

Well that has changed

[BassProCat]

Think I read something about Skip to my Lou wanting to coach …anyone else seen that??

but also pelphreys been around the team all summer so it could be him

Or Cal's international recruiter who only delivered Briscoe, Barry Rohrssen.

[Mheintzman]

Jamal Crawlforward. He called and Pope thought it was someone else.

Which was and still is a pretty stupid thing to say.

Rondo might help recruit his kid heard he was pretty good

[Beatle Bum]

Well that has changed

Maybe.

Yay! That will really be a bolster to recruiting. Love Pelph, but his time in coaching is long past. Go get a real top assistant coach Pope I mean come on.

Pilgrim wishes he had as much info as TMZ does.

Come on down Ivan Renko!

[BlueSince92]

This is ********. A spin-doctoring move in response to fallout they got after Pilgrim’s article. We’ll wind up with some mediocre dude filling a chair to keep up appearances. Worse than if we’d either held out for a great one or hired someone’s dad. If you hire a star’s dad at least you can sign his son.

[kyhankypanky]

Let it be Derek Anderson. The guy is the definition of success.

No

[Anon1739778738]

Hell yes for DA!

Good ol' Pilgrim Jack.
