Slow it down. They have a better D line and LB. DBs are the weakness.

Track meet favors us, first time in my life I've ever said that. Plus a track meet would get Arnett's D off the field quicker. Slow plowing game will wear them down.

I kind of wonder whether our depth on D is at the point we should just be super aggressive on early downs. Either get a stop early or give up big chunks of yards and just see if the offense can keep up.

It would be great to score some early and get them out of their run game.

I sure hope we used up all our dropped INTs the last couple weeks. If Russell throws us any, we need to take advantage.

I don't know what you guys are looking at. Alabama is a slow starting but highly explosive offensive team. We are usually fast-starting but have lulls at times. Their QB is very similar to KT in that he can make explosive plays with his arms and his legs. They will try to run the ball but they aren't going to try to take the air out of the ball. The game is going to be a track meet. I think this is true even if it rains. And if we come out thinking they're going to establish the run and control the clock, we're going to get our arses kicked.

Their defense is a good matchup for our offense, provided we can protect KT enough. Our defense is a good matchup for their offense. Their QB making plays is my biggest concern.

I think this depends on Wommack right? I expect a lot of cov 2 looks but then rotating into cov 3. The quicker K1 recognizes this then attacks the open space vacated by the safety, could turn this into a track meet. The 1st qtr will definitely be a mental exam for K1.

Russell gashing us with his legs is my biggest concern. We will most certainly sell out to stop the run or pass depending on down and distance but will be hard pressed to stop Russell from doing it by himself. Pretty much every 3rd and 6 or less will be almost impossible for us to stop because we cant get pressure with 4.

I think they will show a balanced attack from the get go. Probably a 20 yard out route on first play. based on history, this will be a 10+ point win for either team, so probably BAMA. Pray to the Injuns.

I don't think the defense "getting off the field quicker" because the opponent scores fast is very good game plan.

I had the same concern against Sellers at South Carolina. He got his yards (52) but that was on 14 carries and his longest run was 14 yards. I just hope we can limit him somewhere, preferably he doesn't run and pass all over us.

What people don’t seem to realize is the tempo we play with helps hide some of our OL issues in a significant way. You slow it down too much, you’re going to see just how outmatched we are on the OL.

We don’t win this game without 35 points at a minimum, it might take 40+. Heck this might be like a 52-51 situation. These are two of the best offenses in the country going against good but not great defenses. You’ve got to score, score, and then score some more if you want to win a game like this.

It’s a DeBoer & Grubb offense. They are going to run it some because they are better at it than they were last year, but their primary objective is to sling the ball all over the place. Stylistically this Bama team reminds me quite a bit of DeBoer’s 2023 Washington team that played for a national title.
