Well since our wide receivers have generally been pretty bad throughout our history, I can't even remember another great catch like that other than Moulds against Alabama (which is a game we lost). So since we won this game and this catch was a big reason why, I'd have to put it number one.
We didn’t lose that game in ‘94. I was there. Total screw job.

The sheer vertical on Moulds puts it tops in my mind, but when you watch the video of it, it doesn't look as impressive because he does it so easily. I'm for sure putting Ant's catch in the top 5 easily and maybe tied at #1.

I'm going to say a "top 5" for me......and only b/c I do not want to put any of them in any order.....

this catch, moulds, and will always be a DeRunya fan
Bear's one-handed grab while getting molested by the LSU defender in the end zone is definitely on my list. Those were the types of routes and catches we had not made previously.

That catch made everyone (me specifically) believe we could win that game... Winning that game made everyone believe we could win the A&M game... and so it started.

But Ant's catch Saturday in terms of sheer gravity-defying physical feat and effort, and at that time of that game... yeah, that's probably #1.

I'm going to say #1. Just an incredible effort that kept the drive alive and probably won the game.

2. Moulds v Tennessee in 94 on 4th down to extend the game winning drive. He used all of his 40" vertical to pull it down.

3. Moulds v Bama 94 in the endzone. I thought the ball was sailing out the back of the endzone. Then Moulds uses the 40" vertical to snatch it.

4. Fred Ross at Arkansas 2015. What a one handed grab. What a burst of athleticism to out run the Arkansas guy to the endzone.

It's kind of hard to judge how good or bad our receivers have been because until recently, most of our QBs have been passing challenged.

Agree all the catches above are in that top echelon.

First thing that came to mind was Jaden Walley’s freshman year. That year he had some incredible fearless acrobatic and in some cases one handed catches in traffic - at the time I thought he was going to go on to be one of the greatest WRs in States history.

When you say it like that, yea, I can agree with that for sure.......... get a few wins in these next 4, and we may look at that catch as part of a catalyst that put us in a new direction....

"Bear" will always be one of my favorite STATE players

I'm glad others remember the Moulds v. Tennessee catch - it's a shame the Moulds catch v. Tennessee, 1994 is such terrible quality video. It's impossible to appreciate how athletic that was, jumping both high and backward.

I was there for the '94 Moulds catch against Alabama. I would rate this one #1 ahead of that one. Moulds' catch itself wasn't that difficult, iit was just the athleticism needed to get up in the air high enough to meet the ball. The full stretch for Evans to get his hands on that ball Saturday and reel it in was the toughest catch I've seen made by an MSU player that I can remember.

I recall a lot more drops in the past. I'm not sure if that was because they were so surprised that the QB got it to them or just not good at catching.
This. The WR room has to be the most talented we have had in 20 years or more. It's more than just talent it's a "can do" attitude that separates them from the others.

Ive said this in other threads. They aren't just incredibly fast. They run good routes and catch the ball when its thrown their way. When I see a receiver open, I don't care who it is; K1 will get them the ball and they will catch it.

They seem to block pretty well, too.

The Fred Ross one handed catch and run in Fayetteville is probably the best that I remember

Moulds against Bama was impressive as heck too. I think those two and the Evans catch are the Top 3.

I was sitting at about the 10 yard line up about 30 rows in the MSU section. It was special and damn what a game with no defense - we froze our buts off to….
