Did I misread the schedule or are the Cats playing South Alabama? That's Alabama, except with a "South" in front of it.

If they can't handle a bit of distraction and still beat South Alabama then we may as well know that about this team now. A less-than-amazing performance this week is probably just as well to give Stein practice fodder ahead of the rest of the SEC schedule.

While everybody seems good to go, no doubt we got banged up a little last week. We may have bullied them, but Tx A&M got some tough dudes that laid the wood on us quite a few times.

I would anticipate some vanilla on O and D and probably playing 2 and then 3 deep guys to get some folks some rest/recovery.

OP's point is valid, would like to see us come out focused and TCB!

definitely think Stein was planning ahead for the emotional high that these guys are coming off of, goal for this game is win and stay healthy, not much more you can ask for

I'd like to see the second string OL guys get a lot a of reps tomorrow.

For one, our starters need the rest, and two, we need guys like Knox, Robinson, Selm, Anderson, and Johnson to maybe show out and keep the drop-off to a minimum.

I’d rather deal with “Rat Poison” than “Road Kill.” We’ve walked into many of these games after being “Road Kill” the week before.

I dread this upcoming game. Rat poison everywhere. Easy to lose any kind of focus. IMHO how Stein deals with this week and how he keeps his players from reading the rat poison will say a lot about this team.
I think South Alabama is maybe a bit less thane Youngstown....even if we aren't focused...I think we win handily.

I am glad we are playing a scrub vs. USC...which we could lose and need to win.

Yeah, man… we better make sure everyone is taking seriously South Alabama. I mean…they are mismatched at every position on the field by a wide margin but if you take the rat poison, you’re gonna get got….Coaches and coach speak — you can always expect this kind of stuff, its just part of the job. No way South Alabama is beating Kentucky. Just isn’t happening…..even if the first and second string eats literal rat poison on the team plane. The third stringers would just beat ‘em anyway.

If the team doesn't take USA seriously or show disrespect to them before and during the game--I hope CWS tears them a new one.

Definitely came out a little flat. Made some mistakes, but it looks like we are starting to right the ship now. Can’t mess around. Keep putting it in the end zone.

We have been rat poisoned unfortunately. College football is a weird game. We have some blowouts ahead this season but I have hope Stein will be a force in about three years.

They slept walked the first half. Then Stein decided he wanted maintenance to re-paint the locker rooms after he left at half time and the team showed up in the second half.
