Lets discuss the Wisconsin game. Your concerns?

I am very nervous about this game. Big 10 games are a totally different ball games then the OOC games. I think it will be a close game and we will see if Campbells staff can make good game time situation decisions. I fear this game will be a loss because Wisconsin is always big and strong and may wear us down over 4 qtrs. I hope I am wrong but this is what my gut is telling me.

Wisconsin would have been leading #3 ND at half if not for a fumbled KO return.
Then you guys would be wrong—Wisconsin is NOT big and tough on the offensive and defensive lines this year. Fickell’s offense is small and speedy. Their QB has wheels, though he hasn’t really shown them off in the first few games. They are not a power running team like in the past—they’re more of an air raid offense with QB scrambling mixed in.I am very nervous about this game. Fair...I'm not overly impressed with ND so far either though. Michigan State should have been tied or leading at the half as well
Not saying Wisconsin can't beat us...anything can happen...I'm just not worried. Maybe that's dumb...we'll find on Saturday evening.
If we weren't at home with a White Out I may feel differently
Actually, quick clarification. I should say that Fickell wants them to be small and speedy, but he still has large guys. So there’s a mismatch between what he’s asking the o-line to do and who they are.
PSU has had difficulty running the football until UB which doesn't mean much. Wisconsin will be bigger, stronger, and faster than previous opponents so we'll have to see if PSU can have much success running. Rapp & Riker are very important to PSU's OL and their status isn't known.
I also worry that PSU's defense lacks a good pass rush and that Smolik ran wild for Temple against us. Joseph is a 4* QB who is a better runner (and passer) than Smolik.
That's why I think this could be a real test. I give PSU the edge because I think Becht and his WRs are pretty good as long as Becht gets time to throw.
Michigan is vastly overrated. I think Iowa rolls.
I'm concerned because I don't have a good sense of what this team is made of yet. I don't think a whole lot can be taken from the 1st 3 games (outside of the passing game).
This might be the best set of skill position guys PSU has had since the Mills/Johnson/Johnson/Johnson years. Not sold on their defense yet, but PSU rolls.
I’d put McSorley/Barkley/Godwin/Hamilton/Gesicki over the 2002 guys. Also not sure this offense is close to either. Hopefully they turn out to be.
I know I'm in the minority but I've never been concerned about the run game. I think we have 2 very good backs and 2 others who are more than capable to helping out if the go down.
I don't know much about Wisconsin other than the fact that they're a program in decline and they have a QB who can run a lot better than he can pass. One dimensional QBs don't worry me because our Defense is strong at all 3 levels. We will meet Wisconsin at the point of attack and we will smother them.
This game is more about PSU's Offense and continuing to take steps forward into being strong in both facets, Run and Pass.

I believe Wisconsin had over 300 passing yards against Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
Is he good at pass protection? Especially vs blitz. Because if a running back isn't proficient in those assignments, they'll get Becht killed.
Temple, Buffalo, Marshall and Eastern Michigan are similar in defensive stats.
Buffalo is ranked 131 and EM is 130.
Yes, just responding to poster that indicated Wisconsin was challenged in the passing game. Like PSU, they did well passing against lesser defenses. That said, I think PSU's offensive strength and go to's on offense is no doubt passing and superior to Wisky's passing.

My only comment is it sux the game isn't televised.
I'm surprised that Wisky hasn't gotten more from Joseph's legs to date. I hate trying to defend mobile QBs.
I’m concerned with Rocco’s self -perceived arm strength. He underthrew two deep balls vs Buffalo but was bailed out by his WR’s. That won’t fly against better B1G teams.

A close insider on 247 mostly debunked it. Scary though! It had enough traction that it got posted on the Wiscy board too. Koby is so good that the thought scares the crap out of people. Football is brutal. Watching the Giants on mnf and in the blink of an eye they lose their top 2 players.

The same insiders that quickly knew Manske had the heart issue in the spring and Granville likely had an acl a few weeks ago. What a scary thought! Koby is a superstar in the making and other than Becht is the most impactful and important player in the team. There is this as well on x…
RB and Iowa State Transfer Abu Sama III was out last week for Wisconsin as a precaution. Sounds like he'll play on Saturday.
