-This far PSU edge players are not showing ability to consistently pressure QBs
-Can DTs hold up against Wisky's run game?
-Wisky's QB is dual threat, very capable runner. Must be contained in the pocket.
-Is Riker, PSU Center, able to play the whole game? HCMC indicated he wasn't 100% to continue in the Buffalo game.
-How will the running game do against a B1G team?
--Will Cam Smith, back-up LBer, be able to play after missing Temple & Buffalo games?

Your thoughts?

Good question--I don't have any real concerns against Wisconsin--maybe I'm underestimating them but I'm just interested to see how much of the scheme changes. How much more will the TEs be involved in the pass game for starters

I have some concerns for the Northwestern, USC & Michigan three game stretch after that but Wisconsin at home is a nice way to start the Big Ten season.

Same. Wiscy played ND even for the first half and I won't be surprised if they do the same next week. But eventually PSU will pull away. Can't believe I am saying this - PSU has too many weapons. I can't see Wisconsin being able to handle them for 4 quarters.

Penalties still an issue. Pass rush still has me a little concerned. That being said this team looks like they want to compete. Hopefully they keep improving and stay healthy.

I think you need to be concerned with everything. In essence, it's the real start of the season. PSU has more talent on it's developmental squad than they saw today. PSU did very well in the non conference games. This is in no way a vintage Wisky team ( 6-6 5-7). At home with more talent at most positions, I'd guess PSU by 17.

In my opinion all of your concerns are valid. My biggest concern is Rapp being healthy. He doesn’t show up that much on the stat sheet, but I think after Becht and Howard, he is the next most important player on offense. DE is a big concern on the other side of the ball, but McPherson showed up in this game and gives me hope.

HCMC said Rapp could have come back in the game and just to be safe, they decided he should not continue. Let's see if there is good news this week on Rapp. Jack Ham said McPhetson has his best game, liked what he saw.

I agree for sure on the penalties. If by pass rush you mean sacks...then yes I agree but those DT's see to be collapsing the pocket. I've heard some gasbags being concerned about QB containment, probably from the Temple game.

In my household, its official name is “Godd@mn Peacock.”

Shoddiest streaming service out there. Buffering all the time. One time I was watching the game on there after the fact, and at about the middle of the 2nd quarter it glitched its way directly into the late 4th quarter, spoiling the score. Complete piece of cr@p it is.

I think/hope there is some guarantee that this will be our only game on Godd@mn Peacock this season, is that right?

Some interesting games next week - ours included. I feel better about things than I did after last week. I think it's important with this schedule to show improvement between week 2 and week 3 and I think PSU did that.

The running game looked much better and Rocco has proven that he can pretty much make any throw. Penalties - especially the self-inflicted versions - have to stop though.

Other games next week that caught my eye are IA @ MI and ND @ PU. MI might have their hands more than full, and if PU had even a screen door as a defense, they'd be dangerous.

I really like what Rocco Becht is bringing to the table so far, but he needs to work on some of his split-second decision making when he’s on the move.

Last week he had the play where he drew the illegal forward pass penalty by attempting that short dish off to the tight end when he should have just gone out of bounds and locked in what gain he’d made while rolling out.

This week he did somewhat the opposite… ran out of bounds taking a loss when he could have fired it incomplete through the back of the end zone.

Still, to me the pros were getting from him far outweigh the cons.

Q Martin is PSU's best RB back and should get the bulk of the carrier's the rest of the season- but I bet he doesn't.

I was just bitching to my wife about that. We watch a lot of Premier League and I can't f'ing stand when the game is on Peacock. If you Google it, there are some recommendations to help mitigate it, but I didn't notice anything.

ND will hang 60 on PurDUMP. That game won't be close.

MeatCHEATagain vs Iowa could be interesting although you know MeatCHEATagain will weasel it out getting some lucky break. By the way, do they play a road game this year?
