Honestly I think that Iowa is better offensively AND defensively than Michigan right now and if this game were being played in Kinnick that Iowa would win by multiple scores. I just don't know how our QB is going to respond to a big game in a hostile environment.

Your friend says the defense isn't as good as last year, and the jury is still out because like most of the country they only played one decent opponent, but they do lead the country in points allowed and yardage allowed and have only allowed one touchdown through 3 games. Michigan's offense isn't very good. I expect them to struggle mightily in this game and a score similar to what we saw vs ISU wouldn't surprise me at all.
i based my opinion on your defense mostly off returning starters and the fact that iowa is a developmental program, also didn't improve bigly in the portal...you guys had a legit qb competition and brown looked good yesterday against a bad fcs team, will be different on the road against this defense..Michigan's offense right now is in the embroyonic stage, every game is a mystery, lol..

Brown hasn't had a bad game. In the previous game he went 21-30 for 190 with no turnovers vs what I think is a legit Iowa State defense. He hasn't had a big road test yet so it remains to be seen how he will respond. Definitely a bigger challenge this week.

The defense is very good. The dline is a work in progress but I think the back 7 might be better this year. Overall I think they're a top 10 unit again. Michigan will struggle to score without turnovers. I'm confident of that.

Michigan will struggle to score even with Iowa turnovers unless the defense literally scores them (e.i. a pick 6)

I think we are disconnected on Michigan's D though...it is elite

Iowa wins because Michigan's O turns the ball over

If Whittingham is smart and I know he is. They just play ground and pound and wear our defense down. I don’t expect our offense to do much and will try and do the same. I don’t know what the line is but I’d take the under.

I always find the humor in people from other fandoms coming here to talk football, our fans immediately being a-holes, and then turn around and say other programs have the worst fans.

But don't worry, by the end of this week I will convince myself that not only will my Wolverines win but you won't have a chance.

The bottom line is this is perfect for KF. He will come up with a game plan to make it the most boring game in the history of CFB (it will be such a boring game) and wait for Michigan to shoot itself in the foot. Michigan has some talent (see I'm already convincing myself) but doesn't have the discipline right now.
This guy hawks

Kind of like when someone posts something with a political bent on a football board and then you have a dozen posters from the opposite side raging about keeping politics out while espousing their own political views over and over?

Hmmmm. Me thinks, Michigan may be a bit overrated, not just on this board but by college football fans and pundits everywhere. In reality, they lost to Western Michigan, and they didn't really destroy what is turning out to be a So So Oklahoma team who barely got past New Mexico last night at home. I think the score was 14 to 6. Just saying.

That was a Caitlin Clark thread. I just wanted to make sure that your Angel Reese comments received the attention they deserved.

Yes, our friends from Michigan have that condescending tone that seems to suggest they think they are a shoe in playoff team, which they are not. They may beat this Iowa team at home, but they are going no where in the post season and their qb is awful. Most of their own fanbase knows this. At some point Whittingham will play Carr and pull the plug on Underwood.

Fwiw.,. Caitlin Clark is the only reason I've ever watched a women's basketball game...

It was a few years ago...she was going to break the NCAA record for total points (or something) and it was against my Wolverines. Game was on BTN so I decided to watch.

She is the real deal...just don't care to watch women's basketball though

I prefer women's mud wrestling but it is not yet a B10 sport (note: I've read a couple articles on her and the WNBA...seems like there is some mud slinging there)

I'd rather ask you something less controversial, like whether you think transgender women belong in womens sports or bathrooms.
Only if they are helping my team. Not if they’re helping other teams.

someone is going to take this seriously

phil parker will always put together a top unit,,,my point is that these guys are still learning his system as starters, and the front 7 lack difference makers..will be a very good unit, but right now lack difference makers..time will tell

I think Iowa started super conservative against iowa state thinking they would be able to run on them. I think Iowa will start out throwing against Michigan. If they did that vs isu we would have won the game comfortably.
That being said. Iowa will score 24 against Michigan, and Michigan will not be able to match that number.

They're not devoid of difference makers. The linebackers are really solid and Buffington and Lutmer will be All Big10 this year. The corners are very solid as well.

i respect phil parker, but i don't think iowa has players on defense as good as oklahoma..and venables is also a highly regarded dc...should be a close game, probably decided by TO's or special teams..
Are we talking about the same OK team that dominated New Mexico 14-6?

Congrats on the win next weekend, Michigan fan. I'm sure the refs will play their part as well for your big revenue team.
