We should worry about them opting out of the USC game.
I don’t believe in opt out crap - any player that opts out should lose their scholorship, access to facilities, all RU benefits. That should be an ncaa rule

Coaches do it all the time, they get paid then take another job and don't coach in the bowl games.
Lose scholarship and access to facility, man if you opt out of a bowl. You are in Cali, Arizona or FL getting ready for the draft. You think Lodi g a ship and access is going deter players.
Then they can get drafted, play in the NFL, and wind up at LSU.BOWL GAME??????

But your thought as to them shutting down at some point may have validity.
Agreed, the players being paid are now professionals.
In the real world, you show up for work or you don't get paid.
Athletes are special though. They need to be treated with kid gloves, don't they? Today's professional, collegiate, amateur world drives me further and further away each successive day pretty much. Seeing one of our star players IG today flaunting a Lamborghini and Rolex is helping me close the coffin.

With the way things are these day, there may be a thread in a month or two counting down the days until one or both opts out for the season.
They are under contract which I assume has provisions to prevent opting out of games that they are receiving compensation for. If that isn’t the case, then there are some really dumb people involved with this.
