This sounds like a whole lot of factually unsupported speculation to me, Junior. Maybe Dabo has some similar skeletons in his closet that we can speculate about. No facts necessary. Just speculation. And you honestly believe that while Joe Paterno and Sandusky overlapped that NO ONE brought any allegations to Paterno's attention? You REALLY believe that Paterno didn't turn a blind eye at all to what Sandusky was doing during his tenure at Penn State while Paterno was the head coach?
Seems like you'd be a lil more discerning than that. Kinda an odd hill to die on old timer
So show us the evidence of him knowing long before. You're just mad because he won more games than Bobby "Dad gum" Bowden. He of course knew of the allegations long before, then turned a blind eye after doing the bare minimum to report it when finally he had no choice.
Total scumbag who put football before children.
Link?In 1976 a kid reported it. Joe's response? "I gotta football season to worry about". Then he continued to let it go on for about another quarter century because the guy was a friend and good DC.
Good grief. Paterno was in control of everything and ran the show but all of a sudden is Sgt Shultz and “I know nothing.”So show us the evidence of him knowing long before. You're just mad because he won more games than Bobby "Dad gum" Bowden.
FSU cheated on a music exam. There's a reason that Penn State alums consider Iowa fans the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Big Ten partisans. This post ^^^^ is just another example why that is the case. Joe Paterno did not "enable it all." That is just FAR from reality. Sandusky retired from Penn State years before the events giving rise to his scandal occurred. Moreover, pedophilia and sexual abuse have occurred at a number of campuses in recent years, but all we ever seem to hear about (particularly from Iowa fans) is Penn State. Don't think so? Here's a partial list:
Major University Athletics and Faculty Scandals
- University of Michigan: In 2022, the university agreed to a $490 million financial payout to settle claims with more than 1,000 people. The victims reported they were sexually assaulted by the late sports physician Dr. Robert Anderson during his decades-long tenure. [1, 2]
- Michigan State University: In 2018, MSU agreed to a $500 million settlement with over 300 women and girls. They were victims of Larry Nassar, a campus sports doctor and USA Gymnastics physician who used his position to abuse hundreds of athletes. [1, 2]
- Ohio State University: In June 2026, OSU finalized an additional $100 million settlement with nearly 300 former students, adding to previous payouts. The lawsuits stems from systemic abuse by former athletic doctor Richard Strauss, who abused hundreds of students before his death in 2005 while the university failed to act. [1, 2]
- Penn State University: While the scandal initially broke in 2011 involving assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, the university has continued to navigate payouts and oversight, ultimately paying well over $100 million to settle claims with at least 35 victims. [1]
- Northwestern University: In 2023, the university fired its head football coach, Pat Fitzgerald, following an independent investigation into systemic hazing and sexualized misconduct within the football program. It opened the university to multiple ongoing lawsuits from former student-athletes. [1]
- Baylor University: Facing massive scrutiny over its athletic department's handling of sexual assault allegations between 2012 and 2016, several football players were convicted of sexual assault. The school faced federal investigations and widespread leadership changes for failing to enforce Title IX protections. [1]
So you have no evidence?Good grief. Paterno was in control of everything and ran the show but all of a sudden is Sgt Shultz and “I know nothing.”
This is incredibly naive.
So, you believe Trump never engaged in inappropriate conduct with Epstein’s girls, doesn’t engage in insider trading, isn’t interfering with elections, etc etc?
