Oats is currently a top hoops HC at a football school and a young 52.

Donovan has been coaching in the NBA for 15 years and in his 60's.
God. Has he been away from college that long? Seems like yesterday.

Yeah, I don't see Donovan being a successful in the portal era. I would take Oats in a heartbeat.
I am not saying, but just saying. I see that happening. Just a feeling. No inside info. It just makes too much sense.

The biggest indicator for if you have a good coach or not is if other fan bases actively root for you to keep that coach, or root for that coach to leave/go to the NBA. Every single fan of another team wants us to keep Pope - every single one - while we are rooting for Hurley, Golden, Oats, etc., to leave or get NBA jobs.
I'm around a bunch of Florida fans and I've never heard one say 'Gee, I hope you keep pope'. If they did who gives a ****?

An upgrade on the big mama he just divorced? Sure. But Alex Accetta is hardly a babe. She’s obviously improved after having some work done but I’m not sure she’s worth losing your family over.
