I would like everyone, including myself, to feel a bit better about today's word. With the pattern (and unless you got lucky with an earlier guess), that first letter is basically coming down to luck. There were 4 words with that permutation and no words that contained 3 of those letters to get you down to one guess after using a burner word. So your options were:
  • Guess randomly at the first letter and have an equal change of getting it in 1, 2, 3, or 4 guesses
  • Use a burner word and guarantee you can get it with 3 guesses (including the burner)/hopefully get lucky and get it in 2

Tough pin placement on 18, that is for sure.
