What’s going on at EMCC?

He's not winning like he used to & his behavior is well documented, along with the recent criticism he made of the school & conference. They got tired of his schtick.
Odd time to dismiss a hC.
Handle checks out.
In other news, UCLA just canned their AD citing an unsustainable financial trajectory. Interesting.
Look for them to relocate to the Colorado or Texas like everything else from California.
I believe the technical term would be FAFO.
He told them to pound sand and kick rocks! That's why we fire coarches in Mississippi! It's not that difficult***
I guess calling the decision makers idiots during media day has no timeline.
“These comments are inconsistent with the college’s core values and standards of professionalism, respect, and civility”
This is a problem for them now?

I saw a reel or TikTok suggesting the new AD that worked under Buddy didn't like him and wanted him out. Brought Preston back as OC then figured out a way to can Buddy to instal his guy
Its sad that whenever I see or hear 'whats going on at...?', in my head I think 'THATS WHATS GOING ON AT AUGUSTA!'
They were incredibly successful while he was there...WHY he was successful is certainly up for discussion. That said, I feel like he should've been let go long before now simply based on how he treated his coaches, especially Coach Wood. There are far too many successful coaches who are good guys to ever justify acting the way he did much of the time.
Being a bombastic outspoken prick, he was destined to go out like this eventually. Kind of surprised it happened so calmly.
As a Scooba Tech alumnus and native of Kemper county, I am grateful for what he was able to accomplish for the school. He put Scooba, MS on the map and that was no small feat.

Since when has Buddy Stephens had any "standards of professionalism, respect, and civility"? If he's just now being fired for that then they haven't been watching or listening to him very close the last 10+ years. He's been pretty humbled and docile the last few years since he hasn't won as consistently
This is like when Bobby Knight got put on a zero tolerance policy and they were just looking for a reason to fire him. This isn’t even in the top 20 of the worst things Buddy Stephen’s has said or done in his career. But he hasn’t been winning as much lately and the AD was looking for a reason to fire him, so there you go.
Winning covers a multitude of sins but eventually it catches up with you. I thought about the Bull Sullivan analogy too. Prolly about Buddy's age when he got axed. Buddy should get a statue one day. He accomplished many times more than Bull ever did, although he did have more to work with. I expect scooba tech football to quickly revert back to what it was before buddy. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
