Maybe Buddy will be on JB’s show along with siskey and mcarron. That’ll be a show worth listening to and putting a seatbelt on for.

I saw a reel or TikTok suggesting the new AD that worked under Buddy didn't like him and wanted him out. Brought Preston back as OC then figured out a way to can Buddy to instal his guy

They were incredibly successful while he was there...WHY he was successful is certainly up for discussion. That said, I feel like he should've been let go long before now simply based on how he treated his coaches, especially Coach Wood. There are far too many successful coaches who are good guys to ever justify acting the way he did much of the time.

Being a bombastic outspoken prick, he was destined to go out like this eventually. Kind of surprised it happened so calmly.

As a Scooba Tech alumnus and native of Kemper county, I am grateful for what he was able to accomplish for the school. He put Scooba, MS on the map and that was no small feat.

I'm Scooba Alum also--they also fire Bull Sullivan and now He has a Statue there. I like Buddy--he was a handful--but he certainly did win.

Since when has Buddy Stephens had any "standards of professionalism, respect, and civility"? If he's just now being fired for that then they haven't been watching or listening to him very close the last 10+ years. He's been pretty humbled and docile the last few years since he hasn't won as consistently

This is like when Bobby Knight got put on a zero tolerance policy and they were just looking for a reason to fire him. This isn’t even in the top 20 of the worst things Buddy Stephen’s has said or done in his career. But he hasn’t been winning as much lately and the AD was looking for a reason to fire him, so there you go.

Winning covers a multitude of sins but eventually it catches up with you. I thought about the Bull Sullivan analogy too. Prolly about Buddy's age when he got axed. Buddy should get a statue one day. He accomplished many times more than Bull ever did, although he did have more to work with. I expect scooba tech football to quickly revert back to what it was before buddy. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

My son played on the first team to win it all. He liked playing for Buddy said he was a player's coach. I grew to respect him and how he handled problems coaching an interesting bunch of athletes. But he damn sure knew how to win. I think Bull would be proud.
