Yeah we all tend to forget. Bo's initial recruiting debacle with the list of 50+ schools was just a joke. Not so much for the schools that had no chance but burned travel funds to take part. Then to repeat the drama after decommit, I was one of the ones that gave him a hard pass. Our coaches bailed on him for the same reasons. Waaaayyy to much ego and self promotion for our room.

The area you have to give the kid credit is he just keeps getting better. I thought he would plateau about 2 years ago, but not so. He is a killer.

I hope he stays at VT for all concerned. I can definitely see him going to Oky State once he gets bored. let's hope not.

The problem is the Dad/Mom. Obviously mostly Dad. He’s a nightmare to deal with and no way Cael would see eye to eye with him. Bo has continued to get better and good for him. But Dad is what really pushed PSU away.

I can't believe the referee didn't call Mukutov for the blatant hands to the face and then the throat early in the second period when Aedon had Mukutov's leg high in the air. Fortunately, the Judge and Mat Chairman saw it.

I get the reaction, but stopped being surprised after Frank Molinaro got bitten at the Olympics, showed the refs the bite mark on his arm, and the ref refused to call it.

UWW refs make Head Referine Dave Witvoet look impartial and competent by comparison.

Mastny vs Togoev 92kg repechage 2 out on C

Togoeve holding center as Mastny circles but some how Rus warned first. Mastny with several fakes. Todoeve with single to TD to but to 3 turns 8-0 Mastny reversal to Togoev exposure 10-1 Togoeve Mastney TD 10-3 and russia's tank went dry as Mastny turns him into oblivion. 21-10 Mastny with Togoev challenge. Togoev laying on the mat like he may be dead. Cannot lie down during challenge but official doing nothing. Mastny wins 22-10 after challenge.

Robideau vs Abalaki Geo 70 kg qual 4 out on C


Abalaki very late arrival and has to be called over PA.

Robideau snapping a front headlock and trying to spin. Geo warned first. Heavy forward pressure from Robideau as he finally spins behind for initial TD. Geo on a deep single Robideau warned to hammerlock to stop. Cold spray to a tired Geo. Robideau single slips a chest lock attempt for exposure 4-0 US Geo challenging. Challenge won to step out 2-1 robideau. Quick single for TD US. 4-1. Robideu double stopped by chest lock to nothing. 4-1 a the break

2nd.

Robideau quick TD and another quick TD as Geo is fading. 4 offered and accepted. Robideau with 12-1 win in 3:42

James vs Peretin Italy/New Jersey 74 kg 1/8

James looks a little smaller. Collar ties on knees then feet. Peretin single to waterfall that James kicks out of. James warned first. James underhook looking for leg. James on the clock. James underhook shrug TD with 3 left on shot clock. 2-0 James Paretin working underhooks to snap. James leads 2-0 at the break.

2nd

KD in James' corner. Peretin shot from distance to nothing. James quick single for TD but gives up reveresal and laces gets own reversal to lead 5-5. Pace slows. James underhook shrug for nothing. Steps over Peretin underhook shrug for TD as period ends. James win 7-5 and ends with a hug.

Robideau vs Altangeral Mongolia 70kg 1/8

Robisdeau fighting off underhook as mgl holds center. Robideau warned first. Double to nothing. Mgl warned. Over under and Robideau on the clock despite holding center. Sweep single to nothing clock point. Robideau low double to diving mgl for TD 2-1 Robideau at the break

2nd
Not much action as Mgl goes on the clock. Robideau with multiple shots before mgl single. Exposure for Robideau but challenged and might be overturned. Changed to 2 and 2. 4-3 Robideau. Robideau sweep single and one gut 8-3. MGL spin behind on edge 8-5. Robideau backing up to avoid the 4. Spins on the edge to get the step out but conference changes to TD Robideau. 10-5 another MGL challenge. Challenge lost 11-5. Mgl chest lock to Robideau TD as time expires either 13-5 or fall win for Robideau.

Boyle vs Dursonov KAZ 97 kg 1/8

Boyle circling as Kaz holds center. Boyle with underhook shrug for TD and 2-0 lead. Pummeling for ties as Boyle takes center. Misses on underhook shrug and misses another. Kaz half single Boyle full single TD 4-0. Double off whistle while avoiding chest lock for 4 8-0 Boyle at the break.

2nd

Single off the whistle to waterfall to Boyle TD. 10-0 TF in 3:25 Boyle wins

Mastny gets Togoev. Togoev is a monster who inexplicably gassed badly in the first minute in his loss. He never had tank issued in the past. Could be a quick 10-0 Togoev or could be enough cold spray to effect the climate in Central Europe.

Robideau gets a Georgian who was 5th at U20 Euros

James gets Vokal who went one and done at U17 Euros

Ross gets Jang KOR who took bronze at U20 Asians

Boyle gets returning bronze Dursonov in the 1/8

Oh, and Verbal Kint isn't Verbal Kint and there was no Kobiyashi. He got it from the bottom of the coffee mug.
