Of course the story will fade away and thankfully the season starts soon. I do wonder if this affects the number of applicants in the coming year. I also wonder if this affects the greek system numbers.

As far as PR, has Penn State put out any public statement about this? I would think they would at least make some boiler plate comment but maybe not.
I doubt this impacts PSU or the greek system. You would have to be incredibly naive to think there is any greek system at any college (or any college for that matter) that is completley drug free.

If you let this impact you or your feelings on PSU, that is all on you alone. This notion that all cops are bad when a bad cop is in the news is beyond idiotic.....but it happens even though it is clearly irrational. This notion this is impacting the lives of your loved ones or your family...is made up in your head. The fact that people take it so personally when people they have never meant, have nothing to do with, and do bad things is such a neon billboard for insecurity. The vast majority of students up there are doing great things and staying out of trouble. People let crap like this define them because they need to be the victim. "Can you believe the media said Penn State", when it was a fraternity at Penn State.....well yeah, but that doesn't impact all of the alums, students, and faculty somehow.

The kicker is in any of this if it were another university the bootlickers here that pretend this is impacting them would be talking about how awful that school is or how they aren't as morally superior. At what point do these people wake up and stop trying to be victims all of the time or blaming everyone else that they don't know as being their issue. It's a joke already. This will be out of the news cycle within a week and maybe the nitwits crying about this can find a new way to be the victims in the next issue.

PSU will somehow survive this, hopefully the victims here so distraught over other families children being arrested will somehow manage to go on.
This post made me feel bad.

I wonder if they cancel the season the way some are carrying on like this is impacting their lives so harshly. The fact now that someone is saying out loud that grooming and molesting kids through a children's charity isn't as bad kind of takes the cake. These young men gambled they wouldn't get caught and now will pay a price....but they knew it was wrong so I really don't see why anyone is upset by this.
I'm certainly not upset about a few arrogant, elitist frat brats winding up sharing a jail cell with some low life Kensington drug dealer.

Young Mr. Robinson and his elitist buddies will learn some valuable lessons on the loss of privilege. The arrogance of these individuals is disgusting.
Maybe- the guys who will really get hammered will be the ones whose families can't afford high priced defense attorneys and endless appeals. They better make deals to testify for the state while there are deals to be had.

The richest ones may not spend much time- if any- at the crossbar hotel.

You are correct. But it would be satisfying to see that arrogant smile wiped from young Mr. Robinson's face in his mug shot.

How would the Collegian know the responses were genuinely from PSU people?

Me, weed almost every day. A couple of LSD trips, a couple times I smoked opium, very enjoyable. I was at PSU Fall Term 74 to Fall Term 77.

Biggest regret for me was my mixing beer and weed, made me noticeably stupid. If I had the opportunity to do it all again I’d cut way down on the drinking.

I saw one video of the tailgate lots during a white out with this classic from the 80s playing in the background. Surprised there weren't more. - BTW, Delta Upsilon(DU) was known as Drugs Unlimited in the 80s!! For those of you that remember those days.
