I was joking when saying he's coming. However that interview with his dad really does make it seem like UK has been the desired location.

Almost September and transfers still playing patty-cake with prospective suitors.
Basketball recruiting is such a joke any more.
To be fair, he was just recently granted ability to contact schools personally. Hopefully a quick recruitment. The term “student athlete” needs to be thrown out immediately, cause now more than ever it’s evident they don’t care about school

This kid basically is Mark Pope. Less than average athlete willing to put his body on the line and can shoot a little. Agree that Mitchell is the better player, but you would think Pope would know exactly how to use Kohler.

I see Mitchell vs Kohler as a taller Oweh vs a better Andrew Carr (before the back spasms).
Good comparison and in that sense I’d take Kohler all day. Guys like that are hard to come by. We have scorers and creators. We don’t have a proven 4 who can also backup the 5 if needed. Carr being hobbled was a huge loss for that team. He was so good for us when healthy.

Carr also seemed to be the emotional spark plug for that team and we desperately need someone like that. He also seemed to be the one to help guys collect themselves on bad games, just an underrated guy all around for us

Carr is one of Pope's guys (so far) that I could see eventually coming back to join the coaching staff when his playing career is done (whether or not Pope is here). He just gave off that "player coach" energy. Not saying he would be good at it or not though. lol But the vibe is there and he genuinely appeared to love UK.

Yes I loved carrs game and demeanor. He took over that Duke game and played great until the back started hurting him. Such an underrated guy.

I go back/think about this post game interview a decent amount. Could just feel how much pride they all took in playing here. Definitely wished that team could’ve stayed healthy

Yeah I really enjoyed that team a lot.
Hard to beat a team three times in a season healthy or not. Brea by the end was becoming a offensive force in college. Butler was a defensive menace. Carr, Williams, Robinson all played their part well.

That season is almost as disappointing as the COVID season when we were hot come tournament time. Another what if season.
