To be fair, he was just recently granted ability to contact schools personally. Hopefully a quick recruitment. The term “student athlete” needs to be thrown out immediately, cause now more than ever it’s evident they don’t care about schoolAlmost September and transfers still playing patty-cake with prospective suitors.
Basketball recruiting is such a joke any more.
They missed on a lot of their post players they wanted in the portal, plus he is from Utah and almost went there before.I am not sure of BYUs roster. Do they have a good PF on the team? UK has a spot open for him.
Playing for Izzo he should have toughness and physicality which appears to be a need for our roster.Mitchell is way more diverse. You can insert him just about anywhere.
If kholer has a meaness about his game I'll be happy with him.
Good comparison and in that sense I’d take Kohler all day. Guys like that are hard to come by. We have scorers and creators. We don’t have a proven 4 who can also backup the 5 if needed. Carr being hobbled was a huge loss for that team. He was so good for us when healthy.I see Mitchell vs Kohler as a taller Oweh vs a better Andrew Carr (before the back spasms).
Carr also seemed to be the emotional spark plug for that team and we desperately need someone like that. He also seemed to be the one to help guys collect themselves on bad games, just an underrated guy all around for usGood comparison and in that sense I’d take Kohler all day. Carr is one of Pope's guys (so far) that I could see eventually coming back to join the coaching staff when his playing career is done (whether or not Pope is here). He just gave off that "player coach" energy. Not saying he would be good at it or not though. lol But the vibe is there and he genuinely appeared to love UK.Carr also seemed to be the emotional spark plug for that team and we desperately need someone like that. Yes I loved carrs game and demeanor. He took over that Duke game and played great until the back started hurting him. Such an underrated guy.Carr also seemed to be the emotional spark plug for that team and we desperately need someone like that. I go back/think about this post game interview a decent amount. Could just feel how much pride they all took in playing here. Definitely wished that team could’ve stayed healthyCarr is one of Pope's guys (so far) that I could see eventually coming back to join the coaching staff when his playing career is done (whether or not Pope is here). More evidence that the pundits and insiders just pump content and don’t have a clue.Think this is a great part of the article and sometimes gets lost amongst fan bases since so much gets pushed around on social media about “done deals”
