You didn’t read my message. I specifically said students can’t give much ifanything financially. But you can instill a culture of giving. Look at what Penn State does with Thon. The students give time and assist in fund raising. They raise millions every year.

I live in a world that understands how successful fund raising works.
I get calls from SHU students doing fundraising every yr.

I agree they don't know the 3-22 record vs teams with a pulse, but even someone with elementary basketball knowledge knows watching a team struggle to score isn't fun. The kids know the team stinks and just going to one game leaves you with a feeling of "that was painful to watch."
Are you talking about Georgetown or Seton Hall?

If it’s SHU, it’s Kind of harsh, don’t you think?
Especially since they did score points in all but a few home games, and also won the majority of their home games.

The team stinks? Really?

- We have to spend mucho $ for a competitive basketball team so the school can remain relevant yet the students don't support the team. Seems like a great case study for the school of sports management.

I was talking about Seton Hall - more specifically the offense. Maybe too harsh, but I was speaking to my earlier point that we don't play an exciting brand of basketball due to the struggles on offense. However you choose to label it, the end result hasn't been good. 3-22 record vs the top half of the league past two seasons, 4th worst offense in all of high major basketball, etc.

Winning moves the needle. No SHU student is watching Georgetown beat Butler 62-57, but if we went 36-0 and the final score of every game was 62-57, they would show up.

I still think we should consider an on campus arena. Have we ever looked into it?
