lol, ya ok. He was offered by ND, Georgia, Bama, USC because all those coaches are dumb. The guy pre injury was absolutely good enough to play qb at Iowa. He was a starting qb for a 12-2 playoff team that won the bigten.

He got offered by those schools in high school dude 😂

C'mon, 85Bears. Maybe pre-injury Cade would have been effective at Iowa, but Michigan's success in '21 was not because of elite QB play, essentially proven by the fact that he was replaced the next season as they tried to get to the next level. No one is arguing that he wasn't a heavily recruited HS QB. You were making it sound like those elite programs wanted him as he was leaving Michigan. They knew better.

The fact that Iowa snagged him in the portal fully knowing this, and then the media and university tried to sell it to us like it was the second coming of Jesus, tells you all you need to know about how tightly the university controls the narratives. Kirk will no more fix the QB dysfunctions than McCaffery was going to fix his defense. Kirk wants a game manager for QB not a baller stuffing the stat sheets. If that’s Hank he will get the nod.
He doesn’t want a baller at QB? Banks, Tate, Stanzi, Beathard, and Gronowski say hello.

5 QB’s out of 27 years? That’s your definition…seriously? How many made it to the NFL…? You’re bailing because you don’t have an argument. Period. Guys, notice how I turn into a troll when this guy loses. Usually someone points out in you what they actually are. Why don’t you name my “other” accounts. Sounds like an assumption with ZERO evidence, just like your other claims…
Those 5 QBs make up almost half his tenure.

That was the question, preinjury would he be a good signing for Iowa, yes of course he would. i Haven’t claimed he was a great qb, and obviously not after both knees were blown out.

Cade in 21 was a solid QB. So now Iowa is Bama or Ohio State where a guy who led Michigan to 12-2, big ten title and #3 ranking can’t play here ? Lol

I mean, Stanzi, Ruddock, Beathard, and Stanley all had multiple years in the NFL. Vandenberg got a camp invite. There’s also Banks and Tate. They didn’t make the NFL but they were damn good. McCann and Chandler were decent for Iowa too. The only stinker from 2001 to 2019 was Christensen’s 1 year.

It was really pretty good until the 2020s. We didn’t really realize what we had until it was gone. I think we can expect at least decent QB play every year now that Brian is gone. Lester’s guys so far have been Sullivan and Gronowski, who had flaws but were capable QBs.
Not sure your what your point is.

Petras was two different qb's with and without a functional line.

The non-functional line was a terrible pairing with his immobility.

At the same time, it's really hard to get away with an immobile qb these days. So Chalk up Petras to Brian, if you want.

But Cade getting hurt reflects nothing upon Brian.

And Stanley, although not a BF recruit, was coached by him.

Quite a stretch to try to make this about Brian

Making the same strawman argument over and over doesn't help your point at all (whatever that is).

Not a single person has claimed that Cade would not have been a very good recruit for Iowa out of HS. Any discussion about this hypothetical is meaningless and a waste of time.

Links to Bama and Ohio St recruiting Cade after the '22 season?

Just realized something...might 85 be an Eyes' burner account?

You hate Kirk and any mention of something remotely positive about CMs ability undermines your agenda so blah blah blah

its obvious CM was a solid bigten qb pre injury, you can’t be objective in any discussion because you have to keep your narrative going. its boring.

I was there and i agree with Hawkangler - go Hawks. I got Iose Epenesa's autograph on our Hawkeye flag next to A.J Epenesa's autograph. We lived in Hawaii from 2018 to 2023 and went to the Polynesian Bowl. A.J. Epenesa served as an honorary captain for the 2020 Polynesian Bowl on January 18, 2020, alongside co-captain Tua Tagovailoa. So that is when we got A. J.'s autograph.
Thinking back on the scrimmage Sat. I think Jeremy Hecklinski is quicker on the draw and Hank is a bit duh - slower.
Also, Sports Illustrated had to say bad things about Jeremy - over the past several years SI is quite negative about Iowa football so I will stop reading their articles.
